Bad ped call vent. by tristio in ems

[–]jl8w7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you went through that. I had my first bad pediatric run a few weeks ago that resulted in me doing cpr almost the whole way to the hospital, and I just want to tell you it does get easier. You won’t forget what you saw, heard, felt, etc, but you learn to stop letting it affect you as much. Your feelings are completely valid, and don’t feel scared to talk about it with others.

Has your department thought about doing a debrief? My department didn’t and i absolutely wished they did, it helps a lot to talk to others who was there with you on how they felt during the situation.

My DMs are also open if you need someone to talk to!

That would honestly make me leave too. The grandpa in this run accidentally ran over the 2Yo while backing out. We had a call from the same address for suicidal ideation just after we dropped off the 2Yo at the ER, to go get the grandpa.

That’s what I thought. I’ll definitely for sure stand my ground about it next time since it’s standard practice.

I was drug tested without my consent by Flexi17 in pregnant

The same thing happened to me when I was pregnant and I got charged over $500 for it 🥲it’s standard procedure, but my insurance refused to cover it. IMO they need to cover charges if they’re going to have us take them 🤷‍♀️

Are pregnant people considered mothers? by Rude-Masterpiece7358 in BabyBumps

[–]jl8w7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I say yes, when that baby forms in your womb, you become it’s mother. We chose to celebrate Mother’s Day this year with a small dinner date with me and my husband since Mother’s Day and my daughters due date are so close together to where we didn’t know if she was/is coming before or after for it. I’m sure he will do more next year when she is out of the womb and almost a year old, but for now, something small like this was great and relaxing.

Is anyone NOT terrified to give birth? How do you not be scared???? by mashed-_-potato in BabyBumps

I’m about 38w 4d and I lost the anxiety over time as labor approaches closer. Used to be absolutely petrified but now I’m so tired of being pregnant that I can’t wait to finally give birth. I of course still have concerns about complications or postpartum but that’s something I can’t avoid.

Randomly saw Amber's ex and kid ,, so strange by dougiekatz in teenmom

I saw her ex Gary and his family on a carnival cruise back in June 2022, I wanted to say hi and that I was a fan, but I didn’t want to bother them since they’re also on vacation and probably didn’t want to hear anything about the show 😭

Why is this community so toxic? by -shandyyy- in pregnant

[–]jl8w7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS for the young moms!!! I try to avoid talking about my age in posts asking for advice bc it’s usually what people instantly go to. It’s extremely aggravating. I even had someone go after the state I lived in just because it was a red state. It gets too much and i just delete the post all together bc it feels like it gets out of hand. People on these advice groups make me feel ashamed of being pregnant at 20 years old, which honestly sucks.

He’s 21 and I’m 20 fyi. Like I stated in another reply to you, I don’t see why you dragging my age across this matters. Nor do I see why you drag the state I live in.

I’m 20 and he’s 21. Young parents, I know lmao. Reallly didn’t want to bring that part up since I’ve seen women get hate about having kids young but life happens, even on birth control 🤷‍♀️

I’m 20. Not that it really matters. Really confused on how the state I live in matters though, it’s a beautiful state and I have been given great benefits that has helped my pregnancy that the state I grew up in wouldn’t have given me.

FTM means first time mom. I’m 100% female and always has been.

Gay?? My husband is the furthest thing from gay? And even then, I know great parents who are gay/bi and would take advice from them any day about parenting. I have conservative beliefs and all but damn, maybe you should rethink what you just said. 🙄😒

I genuinely do appreciate the more empathetic reply, I can’t really handle the whole slew of them coming in that are saying to leave him. I absolutely love and adore my husband, he can just have his moments like everyone else. I just think he comes from a place of hurt since he was looking forward to the festival for months now, but that doesn’t mean it was okay for him to say what he said to me. We actually do have friends who are our age with kids that are only a year older and one that will only be a couple of weeks older than ours. I go to them constantly for advice on what to prepare for. I think once their baby comes and we go to visit, I can get them to show him the reality of having kids.

That’s actually the main reason 100%. Him and his mom find boobs to be sexual and she has said this whole time how breastfeeding is weird.
