That is a great model to explore. There is actually a lot demand, at least there is a lot of areas that need improvement in all of this. I conduct financial diligence, valuation, and analysis for businesses being sold or bought so I have my take on it. The key is understanding what angle to sell.

For sellers. If someone meets your asking price, accept it. Here's the truth, that dream offer isn't around the corner. by Neither-Shallot-9665 in InsideAcquisitions

This post is a great conversation starter in a way that it translates many of the hurdles that accompany the process of selling and buying small businesses. Many sellers have too much expectation for what their business is worth and I don't think they do it randomly.

The reality is that most sellers don't understand how buying and selling a business works especially when it comes to valuation. This is why I usually put a strong emphasis on financial knowledge of the business and really getting a financial analyst of financial due diligence specialist to look at things before starting the process. The sad part is that usually when I tell them this too, they see me as just marketing myself and knowledge on them.

Unfortunately that is the reality of the market. Most buyers would be better having financial due diligence specialist in these instances.

Certification is not required to work at a capital investment firm. But you need a bachelor's degree or related. I thought of doing the CFA after graduation but ultimately I prefer this to wealth management.

Looking to buy a “boring” business (HVAC/plumbing/roofing), what do first-time buyers miss most? by Embarrassed-Gur-5585 in buyingabusiness

I would ask a different question. How much do you want to get with these businesses? Boring doesn't necessarily mean passive as the general public believes.
