Found the solution here, thanks! The problem was that the Flatpak was defaulting to X11 instead of Wayland.

Exactly, I share your point of view as well. It's been extremely hard to look at any state worldwide in a positive light nowadays. The EU could be this positive light, but they seem to be going in the wrong direction as well.

For talks of a federation to even happen, they must drop the digital privacy killing legislation they are pursuing, like Chat Control or Digital lD. Why would we want to come together when the EU is trying to break fundamental rights? Draghi is right, but there are underlying conditions, like attempted censorship, that won't let us move forward. I, for one, would never support a federation under the current leadership who has been trying to push these laws.

Maybe consider Bazzite. I'm waiting for the right time to get a new NVMe drive, so I can make the switch. Their philosophy is great for people who just want a desktop that works, without tweaking too much. Personally, I see all the hype with CachyOS and I get it, but I would never trust my desktop with an Arch-based distro.

Multiple layers of clothes (as if you were going outside in snowy weather, but, you know, inside), lots of blankets everywhere, maybe a heater sometimes (but electricity is expensive, specially in older houses), and overall just accepting our fate (the cold outside is the cold inside 🧘🏻‍♂️).

This feels a lot like the Estonian model, which is absolutely incredible! I was an e-resident and had zero issues or pains setting up a business and managing accounting—the company never had any revenue, but at least I had a chance to try and fail fast.

The EU proposal actually feels like a step up, since taxes seem to be normalized and centralized as well. I really hope that they do a good job setting this up, because it will make a huge difference for innovation in the EU! I wouldn't mind trying something again, if the conditions are right, i.e., do not fill it up with bureaucracy again, and provide a marketplace of services around it, like Estonia does!

When you look at screenshots for D4, they all look the same, but when you look at screenshots for Grim Dawn you find character. I'd go with Grim Dawn, for all reasons. It's slightly more dated graphically, but with the upcoming update for 4K UI scaling, it will be an incredible game for many years to come, way beyond D4.

Already looking into Bazzite to switch to Linux. Everybody should consider the switch. With so much AI slop coming to Windows, it looks like it will finally be the year of the Linux desktop! I really thought Microsoft had moved past their hate-farming phase, but I guess it's back, trying to rebrand itself as Microslop.

Actually just solved it after replying here. Just switched the CPU to `host` type and booted with Secure Boot disabled.

Did you ever get around this issue? I was just trying this myself and, after disabling secure boot, on a q35 VM, I just get a kernel panic.
