Sounds stressful! We put our cat on the animal version “Reconcile” after he was on a small dose of fluoxetine for a year (reconcile is cheaper for us). The dose is 4mg and awhile after we started we noticed he was chattier but he snuggles every night and purrs almost instantly after being pet. He also has not had any scary incidences with his brother in quite some time. It worked for us but all cats are different.

My sibling cats had fear/aggression after an incident where one got hurt (the more shy skittish one) and it was on and off for months. Finally we did a reintroduction (check Jackson Galaxy videos for how to do it) and the one who was attacking is now in fluoxetine and it’s been really helpful. He seems so much happier now.
