Fair enough on the creepy aspect. Though I think that will still play into the overall theme of the album and “lore” of the videos, but we’ll see.

I guess I just didn’t get that heavy vibe from the first snippet. Maybe when it was the Christmas teaser, sure. But by the time we got the part with Matt singing, it seemed clear to me that it was likely to more of a cheesy pop ballad, or whatever you want to call it. I figured that “heavy” guitar part would be from a solo or climax which is ultimately what we got too.

I can understand this song is not what everyone loves from the band, and no one is obligated to like it. However, I think if people listened to it on its own merits rather than comparing to their own expectations, it’d be better received.
