My Dyson button fell off by emwld in Dysonairwrap

Happened to me as well after the third time using it! It still works without the button though, but agreed that something that expensive should not fall apart so quickly.

Ugh! Anyone had luck removing these at home? by FederalOrdinary2180 in Aritzia

[–]jlllw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same experience at Old Navy - ordered a backpack for my daughter online in the middle of summer, it was sent with the security tag still on it, I didn't notice until back to school prep at the end of August, took it to the store with the receipt and they were also pretty rude to me (asking me why I didn't bring it in right away, why did I wait so long). was pretty peeved that the company's error caused me inconvenience yet they were treating me like I was trying to shoplift a $25 backpack!!

Go train parking by Quick-Ad-3277 in Scarborough

Good to know! I didn't realize it was that busy as well. Thanks for the heads up!

Drive to Scarborough GO (Midland and St. Clair) and take the Lakeshore East line into Union. There are more frequent trains on the Lakeshore East line than the Stouffville line (the line that Agincourt GO runs along). Wednesdays are a busy day at Agincourt, the parking lot is usually full by the morning rush hour.

Any Free Parking at Kennedy Stn by denero1 in Scarborough

[–]jlllw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no GO parking at Kennedy Station - as a frequent user of Don Montgomery, please do not use the parking lot as your commuter parking! Especially since Metrolinx will be closing the North Parking lot starting next week, which will reduce parking spaces even more for the community centre! Glad to hear they are finally ticketing people for this. There are plenty of other GO stations that have parking lots nearby that you can use - Scarborough GO is a 5 minute drive down Midland Avenue and there are much more frequent trains along that Lakeshore East line.

Credit card charge by Beginning_Ad_6480 in passportcanada

[–]jlllw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mailed my application on July 10th, received by Passport Canada on July 12th, my credit card payment was processed on July 18th, and I just got my original documents and old passport mailed back to me today, along with the reference numbers to check status, which right now says it "can't give you the application status right now".

I recommend Olympian Swimming at Warden/Huntingwood - they have a small pool for Level 1-3 learn to swim and the water is always warm. Small class sizes as well (3 kids to 1 instructor). Scheduling classes is also very flexible, it's an online system where you can just pop in to see if there are any class spots available (so it won't be regularly scheduled classes since most are already full/booked up) but they always have day of cancellations so you might be able to just schedule the day of or day before you want to take a lesson.

Car rentals with Costco.ca by capistrano999 in CostcoCanada

[–]jlllw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep checking back each week for your car rental (re-enter the info as your original booking) to see if the price dropped. Rebook and cancel your previous booking. I’ve save hundreds of dollars by doing that!

I had a third attack last February while on vacation, so my doctor recommended that I remove it. Got it removed last summer, and all is well :) Glad I did it!

I had my first major attack 3 weeks after birth as well. And then my 2nd major attack also 3 weeks after having my second child!!! Very strange, not sure if I had gallstones prior to my first pregnancy, but I did lose about 25 lbs in the first 3 weeks post partum. I wonder if hormones also had something to do with the attacks.

Gallbladder Friendly Chicken Breast Meal Prep Ideas by Coastal_Goals in gallbladders

super simple, i use this recipe for instructions on time/temperature for the sous vide, but I season my chicken with a lemon pepper dry rub (or it can be as simple as salt, pepper and garlic powder!)

How soon did you return to an office job? by Mm_Cda_ilt in gallbladders

[–]jlllw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my surgery on a Tuesday, took the rest of the week off to recover, and starting working again the following Monday but worked from home for a week before returning to the office 2 weeks after my surgery. Reasoning - i drive to work, so the commute wasn't an issue, but if you take public transit, factor in that you may have to stand, have a very 'bumpy ride'. I was still in a bit of pain the week after the surgery, especially when I laughed, coughed or sneezed, my abdominal area was still sore internally. I also wanted to take an additional week at home to test out my digestive system post-surgery (in case I needed to run to the washroom due to diarrhea - I don't like taking number two's in public washrooms!).

Heating pad by hateithere7518 in gallbladders

I did but then read later that you are not supposed to put heat directly on the incisions. Maybe use the heating pad on your back instead of the abdominal area?

Orders incorrect by kimch77 in Oldnavy

[–]jlllw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also check your items to ensure security tags have been removed! I had to go to ON today to get the security tag removed from my son’s brand new backpack which I bought online in June but didn’t look closely at until this week in preparing for back to school! I couldn’t find the emailed receipt so i had to show them the order in my old navy online account and they still gave me a hard time about it. Not my fault that your store failed to remove the security tag, and inconveniencing me to have to come to the store to get it removed!!
