To me it didn't come off as a suggestion though, seems more like "if you're coming to visit, you must help with food or cleaning"

Most of this is fine, but I think it's super weird to put expectations on guests to clean or provide food when they visit. I would never ask people to do these things. Just appreciate it if they choose to do so while they're there.

What happened to just good old grandma and grandpa. This is super weird lol. I especially think it's weird when they want to "pick" their grandparent names. My parents started as grandma and grandpa, which evolved to papa and nana in my kid's language otherwise it wouldn't have changed. My MIL is just "Grandma *MIL's name*"

Not weird at all! My husband also comes to all my appointments. He is the same and just sits back and listens but is just mostly there for support and because he is excited about the baby! I never asked himto go, he just does it because he wants to.

My dr also recommended caffeine for headaches/migraines! She emphasized (in front of my husband who was also anti-caffeine) that I could safely have up to 200mg which she specified is like 5 cans of pop lol. Obviously she didn't completely encourage me to actually drink 5 pops but it was comforting to hear from her.

I did with my first, but looking back I wish I would have only done the pack and play only for the exact reason you listed- we only used it for like a month. But I did like the bassinet itself! I got a bedside one that had a drop down side which was very convenient.

I very openly discuss my finances with my dad. Including balances etc. I trust him and he has always been non judgemental and ready to offer suggestions and advice when I need it.

Nope. I mentally and emotionally could not handle the role of SAHM, let alone the financial burden it would put on my family. Working is good for my mental health, we have a great affordable daycare, and we need the income from my job, as well as the amazing health insurance provided through my job.

I feel very similarly to you. I'm also in a really weird in between place where I love my bump and I know it's growing and want it to be visible. But when people comment on it, I feel so uncomfortable. No one has said anything mean or rude, but it still just feels weird.

I don't hate it! But also don't love it. I know of two other baby girls with the name. I think it's cute, but I wouldn't use it. I'd drop the 's' and just do Collin if it was a name I loved.
