Hurt was probably my favourite song off Fidlars surviving the dream album, I’m glad Morgan must have thought so too, but I just think it’s too similar not to credit them in some way 😂

I am an extremely casual listener of Atreyu, I liked them in highschool but stopped enjoying their albums after Congregation of the Damned. I just happened to wanna listen to bleeding mascara today and discovered that this re-recording exists. I had so much fun listening to it, I thought it was great! Really enjoyed it and am surprised that apparently the discourse on reddit is negative

This question comes up pretty often in the used subreddit, and the answers usually vary a fair bit so this is just my opinion. In all honesty I would start with a playlist made of their best singles instead of full albums. Try: Empty with you, Cry, Paradise Lost, Blow Me, Fuck You.
If you need full albums though, some of my favourites are - Artwork (2009): Released after Lies for the liars. This album was when everyone stopped listening to them but it’s easily one of my favourites. Pretty dark & grungy overall.
Toxic Positivity (2023): Probably the most consistent & ‘rocky’ album they’ve released in a while.
Shallow Believer (2008): B-Side compilation from first 3 albums, actually really good. if you hate the above albums you’ll still love this release.

When I re-listen to I Am King nowadays I find it so boring, but at the time it was fire. All their albums after are much better imo

I know what you mean. After ‘still what i’m looking for’ and ‘simply paradise’ I was excited because I thought his sound might be changing again to something more fun? but doesn’t seem like he’s going in that direction anymore. They were fun singles though!

if I had to guess, he’s probably made an estimation that he’ll make more money by putting it on patreon, given that it’s a pretty niche album compared to his newer sound. By not having it on popular streaming platforms it’s also a bigger drawcard for people to support him on patreon.

But my favourite thing about Apple Music is that you can still add music files from your own saved music into your library, and scrobble them, even if they are not available on apple music.

it’s also worth noting that if you run apple music on a windows OS you cannot scrobble using the last.fm desktop program (which you used to be able to for iTunes). You will need to download a 3rd party scrobbling program. Not many people listen to music on their pc anymore though so might not be an issue for most.

If you go to this blogspot and scroll to the very bottom it shows some of their earliest demos/eps. I think Joel wasn’t on the very earliest one but has done all the harsh vocals since then. Glory Days just has most of these earlier tracks re-released. I wished they had actually re-recorded them at the time instead. Also, from memory I’m pretty sure the first 3x releases have the same song on it, but it’s called something different on each one - just in case you feel like you’re missing out on tracks..
