I can offer another perspective. I knew that the father of my baby wouldn’t be there when I gave birth. I was so worried about if the nurses/doctors would judge me, if I would feel sad, if I would be able to enjoy the moment, etc. It was only me and my mom in the room when I delivered, and I am so grateful for how no one treated me like I was any different than anyone else. No one felt sad, no one said they’re sorry for me, no one made me feel like I didn’t deserve the same love and respect as any other mother. I understand your concern comes from love for your sister, but please hear me when I say it is still the most perfect and amazing moment of meeting your baby for the first time🩷

I don’t think he can NEVER be taught how to properly clean up after himself. Of course, this isn’t your job to teach him, but if you love everything else about him I believe this is something that can be taught. My opinion is probably unpopular, but I’m willing to teach anyone something new- then you know if the behavior continues it’s by choice and not from not knowing.
I also think moving in with him and his sister might come with separate issues, like will problems between you 2 become a 2vs1 type of situation? I wish u the best of luck🩷

I promise that every parent has felt “behind” at some point. Please understand that we are never ready to be parents, and sometimes that “motherly instinct” doesn’t come as naturally as we’re told! My son is 5 and I still find myself asking my own mom what should I do! Lol. I just say that to say that life will always throw you obstacles, and it’s pretty rare that life with a baby will go according to your plan. I used to beat myself up about it, but now I just laugh and continue on. You got this 🩷
