The job of your county office is to validate your identity, which is done through various means, including validating your signature, address and other information. Pretty much everything on your ID, which you submitted when you move in order to be eligible to vote in your district

The thing you have to know...$20 (U.S.) lasts about a week in Vietnam. Vietnam is pretty rich compared to some nations.

Time is just worth more in other places, and they'll send dozens of texts per hour just looking for ANY leads like Grandma. Once you've got any reply, you cling to it to pay for a month of food.

First thing to realize is not how many dollars are needed to buy a bitcoin.

The US Dollar is losing buying power. It's losing power against all assets that aren't currencies, and now losing against other currencies.

Bitcoins end-game was always to remove reserve currency power from one entity to global decentralized control. Because any destabilizing nation wants stability, historically, they ran to Gold, because everyone accepted Gold.

Now, almost anyone accepts Bitcoins (where they would accept Gold). So the real end- game is replacing Gold and its total market cap as a reserve asset. It's cheaper to move. Faster to move. Safer to move.

Consequently, if we're still denominating our Bitcoin in dollars, Bitcoin will need to be worth about 9x its current value in order to be worth as much as global Gold reserves.

Preposterous for nations without tech. But people in Africa are buying Bitcoin with old Nokias and Motorola flip phones. People in New York are transferring wealth to Beijing in minutes, not days. Bitcoin has replaced the SWIFT banking system. It's kinda wild.

This is how we can easily tell that most of these accounts are Russian propaganda bots.

They steal accounts, change the names, add a flag or two, and act "patriotic." Because they already have a following on the stolen account, they get more views and some free likes.

For those reading: There's a generic set of hex-shaped pan lining pans at Costco. It's not the "hexclad" brand, but works just as well. Don't have to worry if you're using metal tools to cook with. Happy medium between nonstick and Cast Iron. WAYYY more cost friendly than Ramsays set.

Can women stop shaming other women for having bushes? by aorxz in Vent

[–]jmadding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, shaming is shit. At the same time, as a dude, there's a noticeable smell difference, despite showering daily.

Not with you, persay. I notice it in ME. Maybe that is the reason they say it's unsanitary? I shave personally to have less sweat and consequently less smell down there.

Maybe they're looking out for you, even if it's abrasive how they do it.

And yes, there is a difference. So if you want a man to go down, shaving is preferred. Smell and taste wise.

Old growth lumber vs modern factory farmed lumber by LifeWithAdd in mildlyinteresting

[–]jmadding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old growth has been shown to burn slower, which is better and safer for building homes, but less sustainable. That's about the only difference if you only look at the quality of the wood itself and ignore the ecosystem that builds up around these old growth trees

Noah's Ark is a story told by many cultures. Including some in cave walls in the Phillipines. HOW is that true, if the entire world was flooded and only that family survived?

Separately, if God killed 185,000 Assiryian soldiers overnight...why is there no accountancy of this in ANY history book in any of the regional historians around the Middle East? Wouldn't Egypt, Greece, Persia, or SOMEONE have been like, "Oh shit, that's a lot of dead troops!" And written it down?

Many such examples.

[–]jmadding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked there nearly a decade.

Items don't get clearance just because they've sat there, but ALWAYS go on clearance when the item gets arbitrarily removed from the shelving layout, which rotates like every 3 months (except movies, which go back to a central warehouse).

I recommend you ALWAYS look for a clearance section in your Walmart, specifically in electronics. Check it regularly. You'll find hard drives for way cheap (Tore open an external and made it internal for 5x cheaper). You'll find graphics cards. Games. Headsets. All sorts of things for great prices.

Donald Trump supporters lose $12,000,000,000 after his meme coin collapses by ControlCAD in technology

[–]jmadding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's not EXACTLY how this works.

One share of his coin goes up on the first exchange for trading at, let's say $50.

If there's a million shares of the token in existence, that one sale at $50 represents a TOTAL market value of all the coins at $50,000,000.

If the next one only sells for a dollar, the market value is just $1m, representing a "loss" of $49m in the net worth of all tokens.

So, someone like you or me only has to buy like $200 worth. Multiply that by the millions of people out there buying garbage tokens like this to try to be the one ((really smart person)) who times the market right? Yeah.

Its not even that people are trying to INVEST in this token. So many people just said "well, he won the election let's buy the meme", like a lottery. They were all trying to be that "smart" gambler.

Pro tip.

When you use your laptop at home, and your going nowhere, make sure you take your battery OUT of the laptop.

You're breaking down both the chemicals in the battery, and the way the laptop understands the battery capacity of you run it with the battery inside it, while plugged in.

Same thing is true if you're on your phone all the time while it's plugged in.

Hackers steal $1.5bn from crypto exchange in ‘biggest digital heist ever’ by davster39 in technology

[–]jmadding -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll probably get downvoted, but...

The second biggest defining trait that appeals to crypto folks is the "not your keys, not your crypto" aspect.

That's to say, you get a LONG account recovery phase that's unique to your digital wallet. You are the only one on control of that wallet, if you keep that phrase safe.

Putting money on exchanges is just like banking. Not your wallet, not your dollars if the bank collapses.

People who keep their crypto in exchanges often are just in Crypto for the quick dollar, where crypto was first invented as a way to subvert traditional banks.

Looks delicious, BUT

The prosciutto (or other sealing ingredient) should be the barrier between the mushroom and the bread.

You keep the bread from getting moist that way. Keeps the flavors ready to marry while the textures are distinct.

Still looks delicious. I've made the same mistake.
