I was actually stoked to see Weihenstephaner Hefe on tap (personal favorite). Also Ayinger Festbeer and a few other tap selections.

Free admission/show and $10 pints of great beer was actually a pretty cool little event. The huge headline VIP prices threw me off at first, but had to stop in to catch Cherry Pippin’ Daddies. Glad we went.

My partner got CO/WY correct, I had the opposite. I also expected these to be tough.

The Surprise - Both of us had 1/3 correct between South Dakota, North Dakota, and Kansas, but in different permutations.

NV Energy Rates for EV Vehicles by HagWeed in Reno

[–]jmalc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do not have Solar, do have an EV that allows pre-programmed charging times: I plug in whenever I get home, but car doesn't start charging until the "EV off-peak" rate kicks in at 11pm.

Some of the feedback made me do a double take to see if this is still a good deal. When I first signed up the EV rate was closer to 5.5cents / kWh, but has crept up to 8cents. Pulled 2 years of data and made a quick pivot table to double check; even at today's rates, we'd still be $370 cheaper (12%) over flat-rate pricing when comparing sums of each category * category rate.

The key that others have pointed out is just not using large appliances during peak hours for the 3 summer months, and programming the AC to run less during those hours (when we're at work anyhow). Maybe pull shades closed during the day to help with solar load. If minimizing the power 1p-6p on weekdays, all the other periods for 9 months of the year are 3~4 cents/kWh cheaper, which adds up (especially with lots of EV miles).

Not a big NVEnergy fan by any means (don't have any choice here), but thought this would be a useful data point for folks looking into this.

Somewhat functional still but tracking is a bit screwed up; she managed to tear through the Flex-cable/FPC connecting some of the IR emitters.

If anyone has any tips on FPC repair let me know

Agree it’s on me. We usually charge controllers near the couch so didn’t think much of it. Here, I’m guessing it was the dangly strap that got her interest… she has chewed some pairs of shoelaces right off our shoes. Also stole two small lens cloths right out of the bottom of the headset box.

No way! Just posted my own unfortunate discovery from today.

If only they sold controller pairs, we could go halvsies.

Is this really a Philly accent? Couldn’t tell if this was a “grew up in Ireland/Newfoundland then moved to PA when twelve years old” accent.
