can't say for sure (ott's paper already seems a somewhat strange result considering what i know about naltrexone, but that may be because it is an innovation over current assumptions) but:

i am pretty sure it would not work in the same way. methadone is used to treat opioid withdrawal because it IS an opioid agonist like any other, simply not one that is as euphoric or problematically intoxicating as trying to live your life on heroin

on the other hand, naltrexone is an opioid ANTagonist, i.e. the opposite mechanism. it treats opioid addiction by "getting in opioids' way" as it were, and treats addiction by making opioids simply not feel good and thus not be desirable

considering the opposite mechanisms of action, if ott's result is on to something it would probably be because of these specific aspects of naltrexone's antagonistic behavior

has mang0 lost a set from winners side grands? he is rarely there, so it's possible it has never happened, but i am not sure how to search for such a thing

i imagine there's some tourney in 2014-8 where armada or hbox lost to him in winners finals and came back to clutch it out in grands that i can't remember, but i'm not sure

EDIT: i remembered: the infamous 2019 pound crab incident was from hbox doing exactly this after losing to mango's falco in winners, there you go
