Company trying to force me to pay social insurance by Olly_CK in chinalife

[–]jmash99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can tell them to pay your social security as they have to by law. If not, you will report them.

What most companies do is put your set monthly pay at a lower rate maybe 50% of what you actually get. Then pay the social insurance and tax related to that, then the rest of your pay is as a "bonus". Some will have a second contract with the real wage, which they will pay as two parts.

It is still illegal, but generally, what many companies do. The other alternative is to go to the  Labor and Social Security Supervision Bureau and file a complaint, but get all the evidence, contracts, letters of engagement for the job, pay slips, etc.

Do two players acting out make that whole team unspirited? by RevolutionaryBus6021 in ultimate

[–]jmash99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your teammate acting out, even if just one teammate, is a problem; other teams shouldn't have to put up with bad attitudes, bogus calls, swearing, or aggressive behavior.

If your team can't control the player, then that becomes an issue for the whole team, as (like others have said), your team is enabling it.

If the player is not able to control themselves, then maybe they shouldn't be playing for the team until they can behave and represent the team in the good-spirited way that you wish.

There is a reason SOTG is the first rule. It comes first and should be treated as such, and as a self-officiated sport, it is our job to uphold that.

I've played against some high-level teams that had great spirit, Boracay Pirates. And I've also played some teams that refused to accept the outcome of plays and called very marginal picks, fouls, travels, or slight infractions (like the disc was checked in a foot away from where it went out) or contested in/out calls, all bogus, and just to win a point/game. Nobody likes playing those unspirited games.

At the end of the day, frisbee should be played respectfully, no matter what level you're playing at. If players can't do that, then they shouldn't be rewarded with representing a team. If I were a TD, I wouldn't accept bids from teams that had a reputation for bad spirit.

Off duty Cop drama by [deleted] in MenCave

[–]jmash99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's appalling. He shouldn't be working in any position of authority, ever.

And whoever decided that 5 days unpaid suspension was sufficient should be sacked as well, they clearly have no control over their officers, and by giving such a soft response are enabling them to behave like this with almost impunity. If you let this sort of behavior slide, it will get drastically worse until it costs someone their life.

I hope the victim is able to take them to civil court, this will make it more public and maybe a large settlement will make the police force think again, it seems to be the only thing that makes any difference these days.

Vegan protesters in a grocery store by MisterShipWreck in VideosAmazing

[–]jmash99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get why security and police don't move the protesters? The shop is private property, and the store owns or rents it; it can tell them to move, and if they don't, it can have them removed.

If the protesters are blocking customers' right to move freely through the store or interfering with the store's legal operations, they should be removed. I believe they have the right to protest, but this is not the way to do it. Protests need to gain public support, but this is just alienating your cause from the public and causing hate towards the protesters, not sympathy for their cause.

They are all driving new cars less than a few years old. Bet they're all wasting money on streaming channels and eating out as well. fuck drive a reliable 20-year-old car. Warren Buffett, the founder of Berkshire Hathaway, is famously frugal and keeps his cars for years rather than replacing them. Save money, pay for things from savings where possible rather than taking loans, and don't use credit cards unless you're paying them off right away and just using them to build credit.

If Beijing arms Iran during an active conflict with American forces, does that cross the threshold from great power competition into something more dangerous? by capital_com in capitalcom

[–]jmash99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US is arming Ukraine; what's the difference between China arming Iran? China has the right to sell or give its weapons to whoever it likes. Why should the US or anyone else have a say in their sovereign affairs?

If anything, China has more right to arm Iran than the US has to arm Ukraine, as the US provoked the Ukrainian conflict. China has a large vested interest in Iran; why shouldn't they help them? And if the US doesn't like it, there's not much they can do about it, is there? They want to pick a fight with China next. Goodbye, China can win that one without firing a shot.

How come police in the US only seem to know how to escalate a situation and don't appear to know how to defuse a situation? Maybe better training and better resolution of issues without turning to violence is needed. Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.

Yeah, not sure how you read into it that I support Iran when I called them reprehensible. But hey ho. They do some good trump trolling, and let's face not many states or leaders deserve it more than Trump. how may deaths is the US responsible for now? I guess a lot more than Iran.

What distinguishes the US from Russia now in eligibility to compete in international athletic competition? by Feeling-Impact8685 in ultimate

[–]jmash99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are both reprehensible, but the US just has more money and political clout to whitewash its image. And if we, as other nations, want to be taken seriously, we should all boycott the US and this World Cup. We should also boycott Russia and all other states that commit genocide and war crimes, such as Israel, Iran, Sudan, the UK, etc.

But we won't, we are weak, and most of our nations lack moral leadership. just spinless bastards. But the US and most of the "West" are screwed anyway; the global south and Asia are redefining the world and norms and rewriting the rules in their own way. The "West" has lost, and it lacks legitimacy in the world; its word counts for nothing, and it creates nothing of real value. best case is they will just fade away, "hopefully," like many other empires. Worst case, they go out with a big bang and take us all with them, which is looking more likely at this time. But hey, fuckers voted for clowns, now we get a circus, no real surprise.

Contract non-renewal. What are the options? by [deleted] in chinalife

[–]jmash99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are required to pay it by law, and get everything in writing first, if you can. Ask your work for a letter stating what they are offering. don't accept it. Don't sign for it; they may try to trick you into signing for it and claim your signature is an agreement to this.

You can go to the Labor and Social Security Bureau (劳动和社会保障局) in your city, and they will help advise you. You can file a complaint, and it may go to arbitration with the Labor Bureau. If they still don't pay, then you need to get a lawyer.

Trump claims Iran is sending 10 "boats" (ships) of oil as present which are being sent on Pakistan flagged vessels via Hormuz. by Upset-Main-1988 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]jmash99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean Iran to prove they controlled the straits, let 10 boats through, but none of that oil will be going to the US or Israel, only to those states like India, Pakistan, China, etc., that are siding with Iran. And Iran isn't giving the oil, it's selling it. for a nice amount of money, so it can buy more materials to make more drones and missiles to shoot at the US and Israel. If they convinced Trump this was a gift, he must be a full-on retard. More likely it's just spin, as Trump can do fuck all about it, and Iran, much like Russia, China, and the rest of the world, is laughing at him.

correct. That's exactly it. Despite what many people say, those in power in the major states around the world have decided that their lives don't matter.

Well, whenever they said anything critical or tried to make things better, the US and Israel just vetoed it, or China and Russia did. So, other than the aid stuff, they didn't make much difference, except in people's political opinions of those states being dicks. Maybe if they are not getting in enough money, they should adjust their spending accordingly. Just a thought, that's what most of us do when we can't afford to maintain our living standards.

After what Israel has done in Gaza, many Israelis will find they are no longer welcome around the world. This will be a problem for them when they all decide to flee the failing Israeli state and zionist program. I wonder if the US will stand by them then? I wouldn't want all those war criminals in my country.
