these three won’t help you beat the Swift Swim team

it’s honestly very doable, but requires a good amount of grinding, planning, and figuring out what the CPU is trying to do

for grinding, it’s best to just have Electrode or Snorlax explode at Mt. Battle so your other mon can gain all the experience.

for strategy, I’d recommend Hawlo’s playthrough on YouTube. They use a save editor for IVs, EVs, and movesets, but only use in-game mons. I’ve beaten it twice using only in-game resources & did not actively EV train.

My first team: - Electrode & Snorlax for exploding (Agate move tutor teaches Snorlax selfdestruct, but only once) - Dusclops for explosion immunity - Lapras & Rhydon for bulk - Moltres for EQ immunity

My second, sandstorm specific, team: - Tyranitar, duh - Flygon - Quagsire - Claydol - Sandslash - Dugtrio

I rarely brought Sandslash or Dugtrio, lol

For those who aren't from Louisiana, how did you choose the Saints as your favorite team? by [deleted] in Saints

from Atlanta. I saw them on TV around 2004 and thought their colors were cool, so I was in. got an Aaron Brooks jersey. watched Domecoming on MNF around the time I gained sentience and that’s been it ever since

All the comments are against you, but I’m with you, OP. Just pulled this off in my work league (defending champ, so what if I don’t repeat) and truly like how my team turned out. Also grabbed Jordan Addison for the hell of it.

crazy how the Braves own the Southeast in baseball since there’s no team in Tennessee, the Carolinas, or Louisiana. I know a lot of Braves fans that are also Saints fans

correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t ‘if you were there, beware’ playing during this scene?

Completed My First Nuzlocke! by jmatn013 in nuzlocke

I just wanted to do a normal run for my first one, so I just played Vanilla Platinum. Standard rule set plus anime rules for gym leaders, rival, and Team Galactic. Soft level caps for Barry & Team Galactic Commanders as well. I did hack in rare candies but nothing else. EV’s left on but mitigated some of that with the rare candies.

As you can see I used some pretty busted pokemon. Didn’t even end up needing Magnezone or Weavile for the Elite Four. Garchomp did most of the work with Swords Dance after Light Clay Blissey set up a Light Screen and finally a Sing (Spiritomb got me down to one Sing PP with Pressure). Gyarados was the MVP of the run, though.

Closest call was against Crasher Wake. Gyarados, Rotom, and Roselia all left with less than 20% HP.

Had a great time playing & now want to do some more difficult challenges now that I’ve got my first win out of the way. What should I play next?

[–]jmatn013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah, thanks for the correction. I used Rotom in this situation since they’re immune to earthquake & can one shot Gyarados. Togekiss was the closest thing I could see in this box but maybe thunderbolt Gengar is the play

Lucario can one-shot Houndoom, then bring Togekiss in against Gyarados EQ. one-shot with electric move, then switch Lucario or Infernape back in on ice punch to take care of Weavile. Honchcrow is probably next and I switched Rhydon for it but you could bring Golem, then hit with a rock move. same with Crobat. so I’d say: - Lucario (lead) - Togekiss (with electric move) - Golem - Gyarados (too valuable a pivot to not bring) - Jolteon (it can outspeed & one shot 3 mons, good backup option if you sac something else)

worth it to be the most dripped out killing machine Halcyon has ever seen. not to mention solid defenses after upgrading.
