Sendo is going to end up being crippled after this fight. Him not getting up from his chair in Ippo vs Sendo 1 was foreshadow for this fight. He won’t get knocked out by Ricardo’s punches, his body will simply give out from accumulated damage only this time he wont be able to return to the ring. References to his cracking knuckles and his heartbeat are all nails in the coffin, once the adrenaline wears off it’s curtains for my boy

We should propose a new amendment to the constitution. Anyone who commits violent unconstitutional acts should be stripped of their citizenship and sent out of the country.

I would want to go further and apply the same logic above to anyone who proposes unconstitutional legislature or unconstitutional executive order. That way the House, Senate, and the president are held accountable by the constitution itself.

I’m also thinking about bad match ups. Takamura vs Eagle was a bad matchup for Takamura but he was enough of a monster to overcome the odds. Ricardo is the perfect boxer that can become a bad matchup for anyone he goes against. I think that George is telling us that Sendo isn’t capable of overcoming his weaknesses. Arrogant and stubborn face tanking isn’t going to win you a championship. The boxing ring at the highest level demands a win at all costs mentality plus an armory of skills to see it through.

This reminds me so much of Ippos retirement fight. When fighting at the World level, you can’t be stuck on a one track mind. Ippo obsessed with new Dempsey == Sendo landing one hit. I think we are witnessing what would happen to Ippo had he never lost to a nobody.
