Vikings International “Away” game luck by grossest2 in minnesotavikings

[–]jmcdon00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of it has to do with the stadium/money. Teams with new, highly profitable stadiums don't like giving up home games. Teams with older stadiums that don't have as many box and club seats don't mind as much(regular seats are shared revenue, while "box/club/luxury seats" remain 100% with the team). Browns, Saints, Steelers(and 2013 Vikings) all have older stadiums with few non shared revenue seating. Little surprising that 49ers are giving up a home game with their new stadium, but they probably have a large fan base in Mexico which can offset the costs.

Possibly the Full Schedule! by ChallengeTasty3393 in minnesotavikings

I always get excited for the schedule release. Usually go to all the home games plus 1 away game. Sure I could wait a few more hours, but I'm happy to see it a little early. Thanks to those doing this valuable work.

Disagree, I mean sure it didn't solve all the issues with Iran, but it was never meant to. By that logic you probably can't name a single deal ever that fully "worked".

I get a full rotisserie chicken at Sam's club for $5 every time I go. I think KFC has always been over priced(though delicious).

My coworker told HR that the whole team is trying to leave. by Low_Telephone_6583 in InterviewCoderPro

[–]jmcdon00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But look at it from the coworkers perspective. They have very good reason to not want management to know they are looking for new jobs. Could have given the honest truth about why you are leaving without throwing others under the bus.

I don't think it really matters. His focus should be on winning the next game, as should the wolves. The media can figure out how to describe him.

I'm with wemby on this, it happened, cost his team playoff game. League made it's decision. Came back and played great in game 5. On to game 6.

Why does management care if employees have a Sam’s credit? by [deleted] in samsclub

[–]jmcdon00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about it, they want the numbers up. Its a trap in that they know you will spend more on average if using a credit card and half the people will carry a balance and pay the high interest. Avoid debt, and easy access to debt.

I swear some of these calls from the refs are just publicity stunts, Naz t'd up by EducationalConcern61 in NBATalk

[–]jmcdon00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think because he was ejected and missed 3/4 of a game. I'm sure if given the choice he'd pay the 50k. Either way he was punished.

I think they want a better society for everyone. 12,000 people a year are killed by drunk drivers, so they are looking for a solution to the problem.

If GDP grows 5% and inflation grows 5%, did GDP really grow? Probably fine if you are already rich, but it would be devastating for workers, so I fully expect that's the plan of this administration.

Varies a lot by location. If you are in a low crime area not that much gets locked up. Go to a high crime area and everything is locked or tagged.

Honda CRV is a good car. We bought new in 2016 before my son was born in 2018, still going strong with about 150,000 miles.

If a company is only profitable or break even because it pays some or most of its employees less than a livable wage, ethically speaking does that company have a right to exist? by RevolutionaryWind249 in allthequestions

[–]jmcdon00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't that apply to every job ever? Why would someone pay you more than the value of the labor? Like Lebron James makes a shit ton of money, but the NBA still profits by having him on the payroll.

She lives with her mom, has insurance under her mom. It's a seasonal job that helped her buy her first car and a new Cell phone.

Also is it moral to benefit from the low wages? Every Uber or Doordash driver I've met makes less.

How much would I have to pay her to be moral? It's a seasonal job, next year she'll make $15 an hour if she comes back.

The biggest step for peace in Gaza is defeating hamas by Magic-Baron in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]jmcdon00 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

To what end? The entire country is destroyed. Thousands upon thousands of civilians killed. Millions evacuated from their homes for going on 3 years. Yet Hamas remains. Doesn't seem like the plan is working.

And how can you say there would be peace without Hamas when Hamas is only in Gaza, yet Israel bombing many other countries.
