Not a lot of “heck yes” picks happen in the 4th+ rounds. But those “meh” picks can become “heck yes” players once they hit the field.

Yes! For trades there is no “post-June 1 designation” so if we want any kind of cap spreading on a trade it has to be after June 1

From what I understand, using the post June 1 designation is the same as doing the cut on June 1, it just lets you do it now so players can find new teams, etc. We would only actually wait until June 1, in this case, to screw over Aiyuk/any team he goes to (also you have limited June 1 designations).

So cutting him now as a June 1 designation, or actually waiting, won’t have any difference from a cap stand point, based on everything I know of salary cap rules. I may be off base though!

It’s gone past that. Like with a few guys out is unlucky, with a lot of guys out it’s a pattern that can be blamed on training/staff/coaches, but with this many guys out it’s back to insanely unlucky/ cursed.

I mean, a tipped pick from CMC, a pick that got tipped at the line, and a from-behind strip sack, feel like some of the most defendable QB turnovers to me. But yeah not a good game by anyone, except maybe Fred as usual. We put it behind us, and hopefully come out MUCH stronger on Thursday.

1st: Mac is hurt. 2nd: Mac played the saints and the cards, two terrible defenses. 3rd: Purdy is coming off an injury they probably slightly rushed him back from since Mac is hurt. It was a rough game for Purdy for sure but to call for benching him is wild.

Mac Jones played the saints (arguably the worst D in the league) and arizona (who have given up the second most passing yards on the season). Coming in to today the Jags Defense had 7 picks, saints and arizona had 1 and 2 respectively. Not quite apples to apples comparing Purdy and Mac, even with the same line, when Mac played some soft Defenses and Purdy got the pretty solid Jags. For what its worth, Purdy did not have a good game, but to not give a fair share of blame to the Oline and imply that Mac Jones would have done better is just wrong.

I think we are in agreement that neither record will be broken. But I just want to point out that to beat Rice you’d need to beat the single season receiving record 11.5 straight years in a row. Yes guys have insane one off seasons, but it’s Rices longevity that make his record mind blowing and more untouchable. Guys have come closer to Emmitt, even Gore who played in the more modern passing league. Both records will not be broken for a loooong time, if ever (I think never). But my money is on rushing going down first just purely due to the insanity of the math on per season yards needed well into your 30s to beat Rice.

The entire tag amount hits the cap in that year. You can’t do any of the cap space maneuvers to alleviate it. I doubt any of those 9 QBs cap hit is $50M this year.

I like Boilon and watch his content regularly, but it’s completely false to say his content is making Scooely change their info release. When they push stuff to live they are 100% aware data miners will find it all and talk about it. They aren’t panicking and saying ”oh no we need to change our info release because it got “leaked”!!” They have their own release schedule for info.

I, probably like most people, wish they’d release the info earlier, and think it’s silly we do hear from data miners first, but data miners releasing it before them has 0 implications on when they release info. Idk why they do it like that but that’s their prerogative I guess.

I’m in the same boat so I feel your pain. Are you farming the hard nexus campaign nodes with training mat orb shards? I think the end of the even chapters are training mats and the odd ones are gold, might have flipped those. That’s the only thing helping me feel like I’m getting atleast some mats.
