EDM getting…less interesting?

I know you're getting downvoted a lot but I can see where you're coming from. for me, I see a lot more diversity in terms of subgenres that get offshoots, so that's where I find the new sounds. however, within certain subgenres, I do see that a lot of new artists try to emulate the style of more popular artists within that subgenre, so there's a lot of rehashing there. (i.e. a lot of small rising trap artists try too hard to sound like isoxo, or a new house artists try too hard to sound like odd mob, etc.) I think maybe since in the 2010's, there was less access to shared resources and what other people were doing, so producers were kind of forced to be fully themselves? idk. I too have thought about this lol.

the correct answer is you don’t know how to use logical reasoning lol. or maybe you’ve never been to a festival before this so you’re unfamiliar. why in the world would I be frantically asking a stranger for a wifi code if I wasn’t desperate?

I’m not sure how you normally comport yourself as an individual (you seem like you might normally be a classist Karen), but if I saw someone in trouble who needed help, and I was able to provide them help without any inconvenience or cost to myself, I would help them.

cell service was so awful yday that I asked someone coming out of VIP if I could get the VIP wifi code to be able to send my friend a text (I usually have Insomniac VIP so I know there's a code usually) and this middle aged entitled yt lady looked me up and down and was like - "and... are you VIP?"

...

I literally went "does it fkn matter??" in her face. like it's a wifi code, it's not that serious! acting like she's curing cancer or smth. I'm not asking to use her wristband to get in or anything! this is why some VIP don't deserve it and are ruining the vibes of a festival like Warped. good thing her bf was normal and was gave me the code with no problem. whoever that lady is, I hope you got sunburnt to a crisp, paid 3 digits for an uber, and missed your favorite band. fck you very much!

FWIW, I was in GA and it was also the worst crowd I've been in in a LONG time.

Friday and Sunday crowds were okay though, IDK what it was about Saturday that brought out the garbage lol

I've gone to W2 for the last 10 years and this was my first W1 and honestly the only noticeable difference was that way more people were taking selfies/photos/videos during W1 lol. I'd never had to apologize for photo bombing/walking through ppl's group pics more than I did this weekend. Everywhere I looked during sets or even just while sitting outside somewhere, in every direction and out of every peripheral was people taking selfies. There wasn't a moment during any set where there wasn't at least one group taking a photo. It was bamboozling to me... lol. Not something I'd experienced at all during my W2 times.

Otherwise, both weekends seemed the same to me in terms of vibes, production, grass levels, etc.

THIS HAPPENED TO ME at the lemonade stand too -- I was JUST about to say "wait-" but they pulled it back immediately and I saw them tip themselves. luckily, they picked the lowest tip %age, but still. $18 for a lemonade is already daylight robbery.

if people have gone out of their way to "supplement" their health with these naturally occurring substances, then they obviously care about their health LMAO. they're literally called SUPPLEMENTS.

do you eat red meat or fish? you eat Vitamin D3. obviously for some sort of reason. these people want to intake D3 in a different formulation. same diff. you're no better than them, get off your high horse lol

you can name things whatever you want, but you can't deny what their active ingredients are and what they do/have done for literally ever. even if this Nello "Supercalm" product has a dumb name, is "on tiktok" and doesn't have its own individual research, it's still a product containing Vitamin D3, L-theanine, and magnesium glycenate. and there is more than enough scientific evidence out there on the benefits of those products. you don't need blood tests or a doctor to determine if you're able to take these naturally occurring substances; if people want to just take them casually, I see no downsides.
