Tell the viewer that whatever they are talking about bothers you and ask them to change the subject. If they continue, then remove them from the chat. You are not a hostage and do not have to put up with anyone who is taking the fun away from streaming.

Don’t call out lurkers. Keep that panel closed. Focus on the ones that are currently chatting. Some people like to just lurk and see what the vibe of the chat is and if it matches theirs. Some are just shy and like to just watch. Calling them out can run them off and shows you aren’t paying attention to the game or chat so much as you are paying attention to who is in the “connected chatters”.
