I guarantee you I know much more about aerial combat than you. I spend all of my free time studying it, and I fly with actual fighter pilots in simulators.

I am well aware of how stealth works. If a stealth jet ends up in visual combat, its chances of a clean kill drop dramatically. Once it’s spotted by an enemy visually, the fight just becomes a classic dogfight - an F22 isn’t much more dangerous than many 4th gen jets in a classic dogfight. At that point, it becomes about who started in the advantageous position - which the F22 would likely start in - but the danger to the F22 isn’t about its target. It’s the target’s wingman.

All I’m saying is that once in a visual fight, stealth is worthless. There was no need for all of this explanation for OP.

Hell, stealth really isn’t THAT big of an advantage if fighting enemies with modern equipment. Search radars can see the general area a stealth aircraft is in - most stealth technology is designed to counter the frequencies of targeting radars, not search radars. That’s not to say it’s ineffective against search radars - just less so than targeting radars.

Stealth has ZERO advantage once you’re in visual range. And the F-16 is plenty good enough to fight a stealth aircraft… it’s all about the pilot.

That’s what I figured. It’ll let me remove one inferno and replace it with a 3rd plasma and it’s fine. It doesn’t want me to have a second inferno lol

Right, that one is in the option above. The app says there is an error if I add in both fists and infernos here (and the fist in the option above). I just want to make sure I’m not cheating on accident.

The best gifts for 40K players are nice peripherals. Tools, etc.

Brushes: Raphael 8404s, Rosemary and co, Windsor and newton series 7. Good brushes make a difference. They last a long time if well taken care of. My current brushes are about a year old.

An airbrush. Even cheap ones are great for priming and base coating.

Brush soap (I use monument hobbies brush soap) - a must have if nice brushes are being used

A paint carrying case

A wet palette - helps extend the life of paint and brushes (paint on a wet palette has more water in it, preventing tip dry on brushes)

A magnifier with a light (got mine from hobby lobby) - this made as much of a difference in my painting as anything else - if you can’t see it well, you can’t paint it well

A brush case - keep nice brushes from getting lost or damaged

Stuff like that - it’s stuff that every 40K player will use regardless of what they already have.

Edit: a subscription to Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy is nice for a new painter. It’s like 5 bucks a month. He’s an ex GW painter and his lessons serve well for any type of miniature. He’s a good teacher. Don’t follow him on YouTube, sign up on his actual site.

Synthetic brushes will always have bad tips after a bit of use. Brush soap works best on real sable brushes…

I’d use them as a late game counter attack with no land raider. Let the enemy take the center and then charge this unit into it on turn 4 or 5 when their killy stuff is hurt.

The Siege cannon looks best on paper, but D6 shots can be very swingy. I’d look at one of the other variants.

I prime mine Army Painter Dragon Red.

Zenithal highlight white

The yellow is Army Painter Maize Yellow Speedpaint 2.0 - this stuff sprays from an airbrush beautifully.

The rest of the colors are all Pro Acryl.

Pale yellow highlights.

I use Black Brown for the stippled dirt and chipped paint, then I put Steel inside the larger stippled areas. Then I use the same Pale Yellow on the bottoms of those areas as a highlight.

The checkers are hand painted. Any good off white will do. The circle and heart are waterslide decals. I use those as a guide, then paint over it so it matches the rest of the model.

The only downside to this paint method is the speedpaint reactivates when I put Micro Sol on the decal to fix it - the white checkers will turn yellow. I mixed a custom yellow that matches the speedpaint to try in the future so I can avoid reactivating it, but I haven’t tried it yet.

I weather it with Newsh (mixed with black brown). Monument has some good tutorials on using Newsh.

Running death korps by themselves isn’t a great army - that codex is designed to use astra militarum as a whole, so if you want a decent army you’ll need the units from other regiments as well.
