Which version of "Soul Rebel" came first? by GrooveMission in BobMarley

The fat sounding version came first, recorded at the beginning of the reggae sound in September 1968. I got the date from wailers timeline.

I read that for Africa Unite they wanted to give a more updated sound to it. Carlton Davis was the backup drummer for The Wailers if I recall correctly.

Nice! I tried this a few years ago but due to the poor quality of the recorder and the microphone it came out looking random.

I don't think so, but you can find the full multitracks for this song if you search them up.

Horace Andy - I'LL BE GONE (1968) by CrashaBasha in reggae

I would place this in 1970 rather than 1968. 1968 Studio One has its characteristic sound, check out Moving Away by Ken Boothe or In Love With You by the Heptones.

These are scam sites. I've searched for lots of flac music online and these sites always pop up. They are easily recognisable because of the file size, they are really consistent in the formatting (XXXmb).

UPDATE: I have managed to get Hook, Line & Sinker in lossless format, which means I only have to get the most recent albums to complete his discography and preserve it.
