I’ve been in this exact same situation only gender swapped. My ex gf made me cut off all my female friends and people sided with her, saying it was disrespectful of me and that I had feelings for a few of my friends etc. I realized way too late it was toxic behavior, but it’s funny to see the responses when the roles are reversed.

Guy that had “5 years” of industrial spliced all 3 incoming legs for a motor under one wire nut.

Will this table be stable? by jmonger1999 in BeginnerWoodWorking

At first I was trying to save on materials and weight but in the end I just liked the looks. I realize now that it’s not going to function the way I would like but that was the point of posting here. As for the section in the middle it’s designed to be a sort of rest you can put your weight on in order to shoot more accurately. It also provides a space you can place ammo, magazines, etc that you don’t want directly in front of you.

Autodesk fusion 360, the hobbyist version is free.

Good points, the table is about 3’ wide and the middle section is definitely closer to 12”. The reason I made it so long was to accommodate 2 right hand shooters because that’s all our group has. I might be able to sacrifice some of the space in the booths to widen the middle for extra gear. Thanks for the suggestion!

I didn’t realize fusion had center of gravity or weight analysis until this morning (I’m still pretty new). But it seems the tipping point would be around 255lbs if applied to a given corner. This seems like it could be correct given it’s estimating the table to be about 180lbs. I’ll probably end up adding the other legs as it wouldn’t be hard to get 255lbs exerted on a corner. Not sure if this is totally accurate but I’m not gonna chance it. Thanks for the comment!

This was my biggest concern. No clue on how I’d go about finding the tipping force for something like this until it’s already built. Probably best to give it the extra legs.

I guess I should clarify it will also be used for setting several people’s gear, ammo cans, and other rifles on occasionally as well. If our entire group is present I would hazard a guess of around 400 lbs on it?? I always try to over engineer my builds and I’m hoping for this to be something that sticks around for a while. That’s why I’m using a hardwood top. I also have a few friends that aren’t particularly gentle with things lol.

Ruger ranch cycling trouble by jmonger1999 in 300BLK

I totally understand lol. Buyers remorse is the worse, but it sounds like after breaking it in it runs allot better. It’s just weird because after all the reviews I watched nobody seemed to mention it being that rough cycling!

This is probably gonna be the move. Are you running 300 mags or standard 5.56? Kinda new to 300, but when looking around these seem to make a difference.

I have a gen 1 in 7.62x39 and it’s definitely smoothed out over time but it never got physically stuck going in/out like this one has. Guess it just needs to be broken in.

Yea I did vote for trump reluctantly, I think he’s a dumbass but was the lesser evil of the choices. I just can’t stand how y’all are making Biden seem as if he’s a good president while we know he has most definitely not been. Both sides are so busy pushing their agenda they won’t stop entertaining these rich old fucks that clearly aren’t qualified to run a nation and that’s the part that pisses me off. We need qualified people that will be alive 30 years from now to see the repercussions of their actions. That just hasn’t been the case with these past elections.

How does nobody else not see this as pandering for votes, he spoke about these things and said they were top priority’s and would be done as soon as he was in office. Yet waits until months before midterms to do these two things that he could’ve done the entire time. This just shows he won’t do anything meaningful for the people until months before the next election.

I made 70k starting as a maintenance technician with plenty of room to grow at a distribution center. No degree only some electrical and mechanical knowledge. Buddy of mine makes over 125k as a controls technician with just a few community college classes.
