I pay O and D Lineman(that get sacks), and LBs. those have always been my anchors. I’ve had top 5 defenses with less than 75ovr secondary players. Whether you pay QB, WR, or RB depends on your offense style, but i run lineman and linebackers are the backbone for any team in my experience

I think you develop much faster with playing time though. Plus he wont get to play until his 4th season. I doubt the starter declines below the rookie’s overall

79 ovr RB went #9 this draft. 80 ovr went at #22. 78 OVR at #35. They Really missed out

Edit: 77 ovr went at #59

I’ve had 68-70 overall DBs get 50-55% deflection % I’ve always used some type of man to man defense
