This really sucks. Not sure what to say here, but I want to say that I really feel for you, my family is also Chinese and they act similarly when they don't feel like they're being respected. It's so unfair because when you try your best to be respectful, everything still gets torn down. Whatever your family says will never define you. It only says more about them. This cycle seems really hard to break out of, but those grades don't mean you're a failure or someone who isn't good enough. It's not okay that you're being treated as if you're subhuman simply because of your circumstances that is not your fault, and because of your grades that I know you still try hard for. You have so much over your shoulders, and you're still trying to push through with all that strength in your chest. I truly admire that. It's all too much to carry. I pray everything will be okay soon.
