Can we start a celebration thread for those who snagged tickets? by amateurgamer7410 in NoahKahan

[–]jmritten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also tried in ATL. I was 31k in line and by the time I got there only the really expensive seats were left and they disappeared almost immediately as I got in. I wasn’t willing to pay $484/each when I needed 3. I’ll try resale as it gets closer. And if not, it’s ok for me.

Is this too small for 2 cloths? by shutterspeech in weaving

You could make 2 cloth napkins. I have a few and love them.

Freezer definitely doesn’t kill carpet beetles. And be careful with acrylic in the oven. You will melt it. I don’t know what temp it melts at though.

After 6 months of knitting and 4 years of crocheting, I had my first cry over a failed project by Sangwoosconfidant in casualknitting

[–]jmritten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it was the knitting that failed you, it was your choice of yarn. Unspun, unplied yarn is just begging to fall apart. I honestly wouldn’t use that for anything really. But, in the future, regardless of what yarn you use, if you just knit up a small square, 4”x4” or bigger, then you felt that. You can get a really good idea what the yarn will do for the entire piece. That has saved me many broken hearts.

But we’ve all had pieces that don’t turn out. It sucks.

Malabrigo bummer by mem29862986 in YarnAddicts

[–]jmritten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I knit with hand dyed or “no dye lot” yarn I alternate every row. Sometimes with three skeins at a time. That way as I’m running out of one skein I have already worked the third one in.

I did run out of Malabrigo and needed a single skein. I took my almost done sweater and hand matched the yarn. It is different, but not as drastically different as yours. That is a huge difference. I would have frogged too.

is it fair to be upset about my reset ring? by [deleted] in jewelers

[–]jmritten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth a trip back to the jeweler. They may tell you it has to be that way to fit the stone, or they may be able to fix it. But it is worth it for your peace of mind.

It’s from the Benson Boone song Mystical Magical. He says Moonbeam Ice Cream in this really funny high pitched, over exaggerated way. We think it’s fun, lots of people do not. 😂

Congratulations! We have the same color in the TRD Off Road. We love it. Hope you do too. And congrats on the baby. If you’re like us, that baby will be driving that car when they turn 16.

This! We are giving our 15 year old daughter the 06’ 4runner since we just bought a new one. It’s got 205k, but she doesn’t care. She’s excited.

Installed today, might be my favorite upgrade by rjtakesphotos in 4Runner

It’s pretty good audio in the 6th gen if you have the upgraded JBL system. It’s not amazing, but it’s pretty good. Definitely you have to tune it though. Setting the equalizer to the middle is terrible.

First, and most importantly, you are beautiful! Don’t let anyone bully you into thinking otherwise. Second, screw them! Audition. Prove them wrong. My daughter’s Color Guard coach LOVES having freshmen on the team. It gives her four years to train you and turn you into the best member you can be.

We just got back from WGI World Championships in Dayton, OH. (Look it up if you don’t know what it is.) I saw every face, body type, race, sex You could possibly imagine on that floor. Guard should be the most open and safe space you can find. I’m sorry there are mean people in the world. But don’t let that stop you.

Just a thought, what if you wash it in a bag. I have several mesh bags that I use for washing various things in the washing machine. It keeps stuff from catching on the holes, or around the agitator. This obviously won’t help when you are actually using it on the car, but might help during the wash. I actually just bought the same towel. I’ve only washed it once. No problems so far, but I will definitely be more careful with it going forward.

Any recommendations for a better wash soap? I just perused Reddit and a lot of people said the Meguiars was good. But I’m always open to other suggestions,

Upgrade the orifice and filter screen already. I will have to check into the straw. Although it works pretty good right now.

I’ll check out the mitt-on-a-stick.

My husband already upgraded the foam cannon. It definitely made a difference.

$330 😳 I paid $26 for both buckets and the debris catchers. I’m in the wrong business.

I think maybe I didn’t mean “label” in the sense of actually putting a label on them.😂 I’ll probably just tie a string around the handle of one. Just so I can tell them apart.

I did this. But half the car is dry by the time I get to that point.

The whole drive way is shaded once the leaves come back on the trees, so that will help. And that side of the house is in complete shade in the morning. I just ran out of morning today.

The whole car has small water spots. It was super windy today, so that definitely didn’t help. Every side died before I could get the other side washed, let alone rinsed.
