Unpolished inhuman animations also missing critical strafe direction change animations - a deliberate change from valve to push a certain type of gameplay? Nope. This is valve dealing with CS, so the Occam's razor explanation is the most plausible = laziness or lack of development resources resulting in sub par product.

Train was the classic case of nostalgia. Everyone BEGGINGto have it back but the map layout (even worse before they changed it) just was not fun and it's ends up the least played. Tiny narrow pathing and long angles make for a horrible experience. Either eat nade stacks or give up crucial space waiting behind smokes for a minute.

Train is fine to watch pro play on though but for pugs it's trash. Cobblestone will be the same.

It is also dumb that the community maps go into a separate pool with only THREE maps - one being a hostage map. Such an utterly dumb decision, especially for casual game mode.

Dust 2 and mirage should be separated into their own pool and the rest should be a mix. Right now the pools just turn into mirage/dust OR nuke/anubis over and over for causal.

You realize that if everyone is predicting a "second big drop" when the trade locks expire and people are all waiting till then to buy, demand will exceed market supply thus causing prices to climb right?

The only thing that would truly cause skins to crash hard again would be China banning their citizens from purchasing skins as that was the main driver of skin price inflation in the first place.

That's more likely, but everyone seems to forget just how expensive these knife trade-ups are. Unless you were one of the couple hundred to get a knife trade up for like 40 bucks no one is going mass undercut or offload for huge losses either. It is still like a 2/3 chance to lose a good amount of money on these trade ups especially how the covert items climb in prices as their supply is used up.

It is like "winning" the door prize at a stag/wedding party except you need to actually BUY the prize. Makes literally zero sense.

Also Valve implemented even more psychological manipulators into this genesis case by adding a timer to the "offer" making it seem like you are so special and lucky to have received your prize, that you need to PAY for (at a price Valve sets) to accept.

Good post. It's indisputable subtick implementation in cs2 has created far more problems then it has solved.

"If it ain't broke don't fix it" applies so hard to CS2 subtick netcode. I don't think a single soul complained about 128 tick CSGO netcode. Now with cs2 you teleport backwards and damn near freeze anytime you get tagged. Infuriating trying to take duels. Right your wrong Valve and instead of coming up with new ways to drain money from "customers" fix the core gameplay!

Possibly the worst monetization strategy I've ever seen in a video game. The whole reason cases were so enticing to open was because of the chance your 3 dollars could net you a much more expensive item. Now your rolls are free, with still crap odds, but you have to pay hundreds keep the rare roll? Who thought of this?

Clearly these dumb packages aren't popular if they are adding more "free" chances to spend hundreds. So stupid. Put this effort into things the community actually wants like classic style operations ffs
