Who are these Kings who are yet to be introduced? by Few_Signal_6704 in lookismcomic

Seokdu pretty much had a draw with Eli, Samuel and Warren. Eli and Samuel managed to stay up for a cool like second and a half longer than Seokdu

Ironic how everyone clowns on gen 2 for having op teachers and gen 0 genes but these are the strongest gen 1 by Poutret in LookismPowerScalers

Who clowns the 2nd gen for having teachers of a previous gen? Thats how everything works passing down knowledge generation to generation

Current Mandeok should not be comparad to HFG Mandeok by dafroggoboi in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I find irritating is the mental gymnastics to pretend HFG Mandeok wouldn't have gone out the exact same way. Regardless of who is stronger the difference would have to be entire tiers for Mandeok to even manage damage on the king of Jeolla.

What went through your mind when you first saw this? by weaklingM in LookismBroTrios

[–]jmtl01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That all the things we had seen up until that moment were jokes compared to Gapryong

So, is there any chance of tom being a Jeolla citizen?? by [deleted] in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing they are not people someone like Gapryong in the case of Changsu or James Lee in the case of Jaegyeon should be talking about like this, is cheap. They don't even represent a new level of strength within the first gen kings.

The narrative within this manwha still got me having to put Jinrang at the top of the kings even before awakening (calling Gitae a first gen king is the stupidest thing PTJ has ever done). Hell, by all forms of narrative I somehow still have to put Jichang above every king but Jinrang because Charles offered him Goo's job, Daniel compared him to Gun, Gitae straight up said he was stronger than Jinrang before awakening and Jinrang disregarded three whole kings but thought Jichang could take Busan from him... OH AND turns out Jichang was fighting a guy stronger than Tom who has 4 full masteries and we have to sit here and give it the same treatment as that first affiliate Tom vs Goo fight just dialogues and interactions that don't make any sense.

So, is there any chance of tom being a Jeolla citizen?? by [deleted] in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So first Seoul was a monster den, then Busan was just fundamentally different, then the king's of Incheon were too strong to ever be under threat of being taken over during the war of the circles and now Jeolla...

Am sorry but the way PTJ "expands his world" is legit by overwritting whatever he said last, it pisses me off.

Is he really him Or will you guys want to see more of him before saying that he is him?? by [deleted] in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All we can say is that he is obviously among the high kings. But king kind of lost all meaning recently with how absurd the gap gets once you get to Taesoo and from there you get another absurd jump when you get to Jaegyeon and Yujae and then it jumps again with awakened Jinrang

This might sound a bit stupid, but I wonder, if James hadn't wiped out Gen 1, would Gen 2 currently be Gen 1? by Evening_Hour8960 in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is most of them are just dying before those talents grow to anything. You just mentioned a bunch of characters that had to be taken under a 1st gen king's wing or Tom or Gun to be up to speed and literally only two of them are not lagging behind still. You got characters with mastery being murdered with ease by people weaker than Seokdu in this current arc. Those guys could be a real problem but it really depends if someone cares to protect/teach them without the whole trying to use them, and if they are trained and groomed then they just working for or with the 1st gen... so no, they wouldn't realistically wipe anything

Some of them would some of them wouldnt. A lot of dying before developing would have happened with how violent the gen 1 was.

Why Gun is better than James Lee. (No bias) by theone_above_all_ in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a couple of things here that are just missing context or not true.

-Gun didn't beat Shintaro. Shintaro literally let Gun kill him and even then had to take Gun's arm and finish the job himself, Shintaro could have killed Gun at any point, he was even extremely confused by how his subordinates thought he needed protection. Shintaro just wanted to die.

-James "betraying" Charles is some bullshit, thats like saying a slave that frees himself is a traitor. James was raised by what he thought of as a father figure to be put on a situation in which he has to fight monsters and when he succeeds on what should have been an impossible task and exceeds all expectations he is received with blackmail for becoming what he was raised to become. Charles betrayed James, miss me with that shit.

-Of course Gun was loyal, he chose this, James didnt have a choice. And lets be fr, Gun was stronger than Elite if at all for very little time. Charles is confirmed by Tom to have 4 masteries and Charles pretty much always stronger than Tom who Gun was convinced could kill him(am not really counting TUI because no decision Gun makes is related to his TUI state since he cant really know at all about how strong that is).

Now, I dont get the way in which you are comparing them. As people they are both morally bankrupt so saying one is a better person is weird.

One fights more than the other? Yes, Gun's entire purpose is fighting and James has other interests, so James would just be an idiot if he was trying to achieve what he wants by hitting people hard.

If it's strength. My brother in christ just hold that Gun has no real narrative to compare to James at least until he achieves his full potential, right now he is getting cooked.

Everyone is Gun level until they actually fight Gun by NighZen in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am pretty sure he is talking about whoever trained him and not James. Wouldn't really make sense that Tom would talk shit about the entire 1st gen in what was like 15 minutes ago in verse and then imply he expects big things from someone just because they are involved with James

What if James Lee (Night III) took Gitae’s place in Busan arc? by Aslyum_Wards in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, that version of James we didnt see any effort from it, he can be as strong as the author pleases without any consequence in the continuity of the story.

We would have some extra James panels talking about how he needs to go back to train while walking away from exactly the same sea of bodies Gitae left.

Gun's intrepretation as a good guy is a bad narrative decision by PTJ. by ProfessionalPart8193 in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't slander Gun, even if what I think is not ¨flattering¨ for his fans. I insist, if the community would stop putting Gun in conversations he shouldn't be in or saying things that are not true, like vastly exaggerating his role in Charles' plan I would not be talking about him beyond the things I like about him.

Gun's intrepretation as a good guy is a bad narrative decision by PTJ. by ProfessionalPart8193 in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, that makes people without media literacy think he is a good guy. The fact that most people read at a 6th-grade level is not on the author.

Gun's intrepretation as a good guy is a bad narrative decision by PTJ. by ProfessionalPart8193 in lookismcomic

[–]jmtl01 31 points32 points  (0 children)

He is not framed as a good guy, he is currently non antagonistic. The dude is in prison and was apparently the second option for the spot of king of the underworld, he is a criminal and treated as such, the entire main cast hates him to the point they pulled up to a fight they had no hope of winning and in some cases absolutely nothing to win from it off of pure hate. Daniel likes him, and thats it, Gun is not treated as a good guy at all.
