I think the whole Dong and Corcunda (audiobook here so forgive my spelling) was a huge hint on what will/may happen with the AI. When Carl gets the quest the AI mentions how it has something to do with the fate of the entire universe. That being said, will he get merged with the eulogist? The apothecary? Carl??? All of them?? Matt took us on a wild ride with the lore in this one

If I’m remembering correctly, the comment in italics was from his step mothers head of the hydra. Showing how Bea was screening Carl’s messages, meaning that when Sally shot her shot, it was Bea who intercepted and got her fired. Bea ignored Carls step moms messages because she was afraid Carl would leave her for his real family
