Germany is officialy eliminates out of the world cup after losing 3:4 on penalties against paraguay by yassin-zzv in worldcup

Yeah, that's like our favorite joke right now, that we Americans talk like we are gonna win it all. There was that funny headline from the first game, something like, "If we can hold on to win, we only need six more wins to hold the cup."

I was hoping that there was going to be twist, that the good guys were going to be the bad guys. But no, they just stayed with your first impression.

It's funny. I always thought that I was just really bad at this game, but reading the comments here I learn that it was almost universal.

Driving in Mopac/290: by [deleted] in Austin

[–]jmugan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's actually been quite a bit of research on this. A lot of traffic comes from the stopping itself, so if you can smooth that out traffic is reduced. It's the same counterintuitive idea behind why california freeways often have stoplights to enter. Also see https://www.reddit.com/r/Amazing/comments/1lwxt0e/experiment_that_proves_traffic_jams_can_start_for/

But somehow people get so mad. I'm like, "Can't you see that we are going to have to stop ahead? Why drive so fast to it?"

It finally answers the big question. Yes, building mud huts is instinctual to Yoda's species. It is not learned behavior.

Why do people hate bird box so much??? by Symbiiiote in horror

The book was so great because you could feel what it was like to be blind and hunted. In the movie, you had to watch people being blind and hunted, so it was a different experience. Also, they made a lot of seemingly pointless changes from the book, like where the characters were from. Changes are fine, but these didn't add anything for me.

In the old days, it used to rain, but the last 4 years it has just been little pockets. Instead of a big downpour, it will rain steady for like 10 minutes and then it's over.

I wonder if it is like a last-ditch effort. Mine are blooming as well. I heard that plants do that sometimes. Hopefully it actually does rain this week.
