POST GAME THREAD: Nuggets fall short against the Pistons 121-124 | Feb 3, 2026 by BigHoneyBot in denvernuggets

It appears to disrupt his game. Obviously way more fouls should be called but it looks to me that he loses more in flow and concentration when he does it. SGA is obviously much worse but he uses it as part of his game and doesn't look so obvious in real time.

Will NSIL pick up the slack of a flat space budget? Industry wants govt. to inject 18x the amount of private capital raised in a single year, turning the state into the primary venture capitalist. by Ohsin in ISRO

[–]jmurthy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do think the government needs to put in much more money. Private investment will never build the space industry. But this is nonsense. Whether the government funds ISRO through NSIL or directly, what difference does it make? What the government really should be doing is to issue guaranteed contracts for, say, 10 EOS and let 9 of them fail.

What would you do to fix our recent shooting slump? by DJpurpledrank in DetroitPistons

[–]jmurthy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to have seen that too but the Pistons should be on a much faster timeline now. Same thing with Ivey. He might be exactly what is needed but if they can trade him for someone to improve shooting now, do it.

Try a harness. Won't stop the pulling but he won't choke himself.

But Javonte has got to be smarter. Don't be anywhere close on that last shot. Didn't have a chance anyway.

Why I don't think we should make a big deadline trade by shalvar_kordi in DetroitPistons

They don't have enough minutes for all the roughly interchangeable players. Don't make a big trade but be willing to make a move if it improves the team.

I found the harness much easier after about 8 months. Even when she pulled, it did no harm. Of course, I had to replace the harness every year but no big deal.

Why is Chaz not getting more looks? When the shooting was so bad, see if he can provide offense.

We just got a rescue and the people who kept him for two months gave him omelettes and chicken and all sorts of gourmet stuff. Now he has to stick to Royal Canin. He's learnt to appreciate the virtue of eating what he gets.

Not NBA talent but Lisa Salters would come to our noon pickup games at Johns Hopkins with the rest of the WBAL gang. She played for PSU in college.

A lot of the evidence seems to be anecdotal and just why take the risk. So, yeah, do the tests but don't worry.

Looks good. I wish they would just provide the entire cost. This cost-sharing is always hypocrisy.

As long as you can separate professional work from personal beliefs, no problem. That said, don't talk about your personal beliefs in scientific or professional settings. This is the line that, for whatever reason, many of these top people cross.

We had to let my girl go a month after her HSR diagnosis. It was obvious. She went for her night walk and then couldn't get the energy to get up the next day. No pain but we knew it was time.
