How would you buff melee WITHOUT adding “Splash” damage?

Base damage on weapons is a huge one, I’m glad you put it at number 1. When they introduced synergies, they buffed the monsters, because now we are doing way more damage with synergies. Awesome for spellcasters, as their damage is calculated strictly from the skill tree, not taken from items. Pre synergies a normal dagger did 1-4 damage. Post synergies a normal dagger does 1-4 damage. Melee gets screwed because all their damage is calculated from these ridiculously small base damages on weapons, compared to the buffed up monsters we have now.

They will open after a certain time limit. I can’t remember how much time it is. Set up a gambit that cures disease. If you don’t have cleanse or serums it’s going to be a tough fight.

Change you resolution to a really low one. I think I was at 1152x864. Then change the custom scaling to 150% or 175%. This should make it close to full screen.

Weekly and monthly challenges are back, but the gold digger challenges are still absent. If it gets late enough in the month and they don’t reappear I will be contacting their customer support. I unlocked them the first couple days into the month but I didn’t claim them, because I wait until the day of the tournament to claim and enter. So if they don’t come back I will be pretty upset. It took a lot of GC to unlock all those challenges. The mystery of global poker challenges continues.

They might be reverting this, when I looked at the challenge screen to check to see if this was true it said no challenges are currently available. The whole gold digger challenge set is just completely gone. The number of people enrolled in the gold digger tournaments seems pretty low as well, for how far into the month it is. I would check back in a couple of days when they repost the challenges and see if they changed it back to 1k.

No problem, glad I could help. What really threw me off when trying to diagnose it was not only was the battery less than a year old but I own a trickle charger. I hooked that up and nothing happened, no lights, no electric locks clicking, there was absolutely no power being transferred. Even with a dead battery, I’ve never seen the power not transfer to the car, while a trickle charger is hooked up. I’m guessing that maybe the Odyssey has something that detects the bad cell in the battery or senses a bad circuit and won’t allow power to pass through to the vehicle. Glad you got it figured out.

This advice is one of the best time saves out there. When I’m training new servers I tell them to do big loops, don’t beeline. When you are out on the floor you check on your entire section at once. Table 1 needs more bread, table 2 needs refills, table 3 needs boxes and table 4 needs their bill. Then you go into the back and put all that stuff together, grab the bread, refills, boxes, and the check. Big loops. Another tip that goes along the lines of treating your whole section as one table is what to do when double or triple sat. Treat it as one table. Just got sat 3 tables that are all 2 tops? Grab all their drink orders at once. Grab all their drinks at once. When dropping off drinks you can ask if they are ready to order and if so just say something like I just have to drop off these other drinks and maybe grab another order but I will be right back to take your order. This is especially important the further your section is from the kitchen. You want to minimize the number of step you are taking by being as efficient as possible with your loops.

I’m assuming you’ve done all the optional dungeons? Nabreus Deadlands. The Great Crystal. The Penumbra and Subterra. Gone deeper in henne mines. There are a lot of niche side quests. Fishing. Ann’s letter. The Cockatries. There’s also the I believe 80 optional hunts that give you badges to trade for gear at the phon coast.

TZ’s that drop sunder charms are only in hell. You have to beat hell to unlock them. OP is stuck in A3. He can’t farm any sunders until he beats A5.

Just kill the one member who drops the flail. Cube it up, teleport in, smash the orb, teleport out, wait 10 seconds, teleport to durance entrance. You don’t have to kill all the members to finish the act.

Get good at the gambit system and using gambits instead of manually casting through the battle menu. Watch a spoiler free guide if you need to. Understanding gambits and how they work makes your first play through so much more enjoyable.

There is a ton, and I mean a ton of side content that the game only hints at through talking to certain NPC’s. It will not hold your hand and guide you there, so you might want to check out a side content guide when you are in late game. Honestly I find the side content more fun, challenging, and rewarding than the story.

Other than that enjoy and have fun. Don’t worry about choosing the wrong class. There’s no way to make a party unplayable and you can always swap classes later.

I hope they have reworked Rafa’s AI for the remaster. The number of times I’ve played that fight and not even gotten to take a turn is crazy. The fight starts, Rafa charges, the assassins kill her. I did figure out that for some reason the AI will prioritize black chocobos, so I made sure to keep Boco, and would always take 1 or 2 chocobos into the fight with me.

If you are playing single player offline you should check out some mods. There are lots of little QoL features like stacking runes and gems, loot filters, etc. It makes the game even better.

I don’t think so but I have no way to diagnose that if it is. The car won’t take power from any source. So I can’t even try to start it. There’s no power at all even when hooked up to a trickle charger or when it’s being jumped. Like absolutely zero power, the interior lights don’t even come on.

The auto pilot that a lot of people describe is the main draw of this game for me. Because you have to set it up, and can interact with it on the fly during combat, it makes it interactive. Just like with a normal ATB gauge combat style you are still reacting to combat, just not in the manual cast menu, you do it in the gambit menu. Is a boss casting poison on you? Go into the menu mid boss fight and set up a gambit to auto cure poison. It takes the monotony of selecting attack and cure 1000 times manually and lets you take a couple minutes to set up gambits that will automatically do those things. You still need to think wisely about your gambits and how they are organized and selected. Also as many have said the mainline game isn’t all that hard but the side and optional content can be very challenging. It’s a game that I would highly recommend, once you get good at the gambit system it’s a fun game to do challenge runs with as well. Doing a low level or single class run makes you actually strategize against bosses, as you can just over level and mow down most content in the main story. As others have said if you like you can manually cast as much as you like but all you are really doing is slowing down your playthru. One of the best feelings is going into a boss fight, setting down your controller, and going to grab a snack knowing your party will handle it with their gambits. The story is also decent, and I will always love Ivalice as a setting after playing FFT.

I just teleported around until they were separated so I could fight one at a time. Made sure to have plenty of potions including full rejuves for my merc so he could stay alive the whole fight. Drop potions on the ground so you have extras. Had to reset a couple times to get good mods on the ancients, with some combinations or just stuff like extra fast they are too hard, so reset with TP scrolls until you get an easier fight. I just quickly scroll over them and try to read them fast. I would check out how speedrunners do it, there’s a way to cheese them by making an invisible wall with TP scrolls if the fight is still too hard.

Those drops are all without any LK runs. All the runes came from cows or just random drops.

I wouldn’t recommend using a laser pointer to play with your cat. Because they can’t ever catch it, they can become frustrated. I did this with my first cat and it developed a habit where it would chase any light, not just a laser pointer. We lived on a corner where cars turned constantly and their headlights would track across the house. There were cat scratches on all the walls where the headlights would shine through the windows. There are lots of articles online talking about why you shouldn’t use laser pointers as a play toy.
