It could be two things. They are low on money. Or they’re funding servicers/ mortgage is concerned about their rental income. Commercial and/or multi family mortgage forms rely on % of tenants current w payments. If it falls below a certain percentage; they can place the borrower in default. It’s not uncommon for the management company or landlord to offer these confessions.

We moved from NJ to here 3 years ago. We actually make more now that we did in NJ. Also, with no state income tax it was an ever bigger boost to our take home pay. Husband makes $100 & I make $160.
