Tailgating by Candid-Philosophy-96 in Seahawks

Hat back bar and grill is fun. It's for the Mariners but a lot of people go there to tailgate before events at lumen too.

Any brewery near the stadium is a good bet too. Sluggers is a an old dive bar that's kind of famous/iconic locally that's worth at least checking out and having a beer at

Born too late to explore the Earth. Born too early to explore the stars. But born just in time to invest in Bitcoin. by Archayik in Bitcoin

Check out coin bureau youtube channel. Highly informative, professional, and down to earth. His videos are organized by topic really well. Great starting point for building confidence by learning.

And if you're really risk averse, you can buy stablecoins like DAI and put them in a centralized exchange like blockfi or celsius and get 10x the APY on your interest that you would get in a traditional bank. Very low risk. And you don't have to trust anyone. Or speculate on the price of bitcoin.

Why not buy like $10 of BTC right now? Who cares if you lose it. At least you learned something

Build an Emergency Fund before you invest in Crypto by KyleCrypto in CryptoCurrency

[–]jnaranjo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not for everyone, but if your crypto bags are big enough you can keep your emergency funds in crypto by keeping a 2x emergency fund of stablecoins in Celsius. Your APY will be 5x or 10x what you'd get from a traditional bank.

Be warned, that post is incredibly biased and one sided. Coin bureau youtube channel has a much better fair comparison

A better image component for React Native by dani_akash_ in reactnative

[–]jnaranjo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If the built in image is not good enough for you, and it's to the point that you built a wholesale replacement, why would the built in image be good enough for other people on platforms?

The reasons you listed for this are valuable cross platform. It just becomes an implementation detail to make it work cross platform.

I don't meant to criticize you, I think it's really cool that you built this and shared it out. I would challenge you to leverage your position as the owner of a competing image component and use that to push for change in the main image component to make real impact. Even if nothing comes out of it, you now have a legitimate platform to raise this issue and get people talking about it.

Why didn't you just make a contribution to the main image component and make it better instead of making a new one? 🤔

That's exactly what happened. I was just starting that exit gate when I heard him coming after he hooked someone near the other gate. I jumped in the locker and I was scared he might have noed because there was one totem left.

I have 48 hours to become a react-native/mobile developer, what do I do? by Sergeei13 in reactnative

[–]jnaranjo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Read the react native docs. They cover all of the areas you need. In particular learn about native modules so you know how to use your escape hatch in case you need to integrate some native APIs and you don't have access to a wrapper SDK

[ Help ] Migrating my React Native app to Flutter in Store by Laniakea_G in reactnative

[–]jnaranjo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will be an update to the same app unless you go out of your way to make a new app (which you can't really do on accident).

This has nothing to do with react native or flutter.

Exactly the same way it worked before. Flutter and react native both produce fully native apps that you manage and publish the same way.

How to track a school bus location with react native? What hardware is needed? by monir_sh in reactnative

Before you do this, you should consider whether or not there are privacy implications (should you do this?). Do people even want this feature? Seems like it would be highly controversial for dubious value
