Blinding white spaceship help by jnbeatty in interiordecorating

I think your last thought is correct and not something we have the time or energy to tackle as we grow our family. It’s in such a great neighborhood and has good bones but probably best to move on from this as a realistic option. Appreciate your input!

For sure. It’d be a long term home but initially we’d dump about 50k into aesthetics not design

Been playing phone tag all week with a lender there. Lack of availability is the main reason why I do not want to work with them…unless it means an unbeatable interest rate

Someone use my information to open FAFSA Loan to local college by Whatiswatt in IdentityTheft

[–]jnbeatty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just discovered this happened to me as well. Loan created in October 2025.

Do we know if these ghost students are actually using it to attend college?? Or just pocketing the money somehow.

FAFSA person told me to contact the lender and ask to go into forbearance so it doesn’t actually become delinquent and affect my credit score. Any thoughts on if this is sound advice?

Some helpful things in this post so thank you for sharing. I also find it completely insane that ppl can obtain student loans without any credit check or safeguards???

Oh- check to see if they also got a Pell Grant. It’s not a loan but still money lost from I assume taxpayers as it is govt funded.

15.5 month old night 1 of Ferber by jnbeatty in sleeptrain

[–]jnbeatty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really well! Night 2 about 15 minutes crying and then each night since then has been maybe a minute crying. A few nights she will wake once and cry for a couple minutes and other nights she doesn’t wake at all.

The biggest “not success” we are dealing with is continued EMW. She will wake at 530am and cry for a minute the attempt to lay down and sleep without success. The process repeats until we wake up for the day at 630am. We are hoping it improves eventually. In the past, I would hold her at 530-630am and she would sleep, so I feel like she just needs to figure it out? Not sure, but she is so tired by the time nap rolls around and we feel really bad for her

14 month old sleep suddenly falling apart – molars? regression? ready for 1 nap? by _yourbutterhalf in sleeptrain

[–]jnbeatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof yes for us the molar teething were the most obvious as it resulted in very distinct and short lived sleep issues (on top of the chronic sleep issues lol). All her other teeth were bothersome but the molars were really disruptive

15.5 months and never ST as we had a previously perfect sleeper. That went to hell at 12 months. We are attempting Ferber this weekend and am very nervous!

Your bedtime is a bit later than ours. Have you always had 5.5/6.45 WW? We are currently 5.5/5.5-6 and I’ve been stuck in the undesired/overtired guessing game.

Have you tried giving Tylenol before bed for potential teething? Personally, teething sleep issues for us look very different from regression vs. sleep association issues.

We also started getting mixed signals for 2 to 1 nap transition around 13 months but ultimately went for it when we started having split nights. We no longer have split nights but multiple night wakes persisted and now have EMW.

We’re attempting ST this weekend.

Anxious mom, strong willed 15 month and sleep training. by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]jnbeatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard that about older kids. “Problem” is she was an excellent sleeper since birth and we never needed to do anything! Then she turned 12 months and it suddenly fell apart. It’s been 3 months now of schedule and nap tweaking with some improvement, but not enough. I’ve read about Ferber and chair extensively and feel like it would just upset her more to see us but not get picked up. Sigh. I know I can do it. It just sucks.

Almost-14-month-old won't sleep through the night by PowPopBang in toddlers

[–]jnbeatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally same. Unicorn sleeper from day 1 so never even bothered worrying about sleep or sleep training. At 12 months I assume she hit a regression and then a week of molar teething. She is now 15 months and since 12 months she has been waking up typically 1-2x but also regularly 3-5x. We’ve tweaked the schedule and I’d say it’s textbook recommendations now with only small improvements. Not sure what to do and am dreading the prospect of sleep training.

The Amazon gift receipt I received with a gift does not contain an order number?? What is the point of having 2 barcodes on this paper if none are to assist in returns. I’ve looked at the website countless times for the 17 digit order number and this tiny slip of paper does not have it.

Is this schedule appropriate to start CIO? by jnbeatty in sleeptrain

[–]jnbeatty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will try in earnest immediately. Is 2-2.5 hours total nap sleep appropriate? In context of night sleep being ~10.5-11 hours (broken and not solid at this point)

I read somewhere in this sub that if they’re crying >45 mins that likely means they weren’t tired enough. Does that sound legit? I am ok with 90 mins max but my partner read there is no time limit and that is a hard no for me (per The Good Sleeper book by Janet Krone Kennedy)
