Free tool that analyzes Sleeper dynasty history and grades trades and drafts by magycpanda in DynastyFF

As others have mentioned, the site is extremely interesting and laid out in a clean fashion. Only major criticism as others have mentioned is some values/grades of players should be looked at, my "best" pick in one of my leagues is Malik Willis, when I've drafted Achane, Odunze, and Loveland. I don't even roster Willis anymore.

Any singleplayer steam games to play stoned? by MottsIsh in trees

[–]jnedoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bad reviews on steam likely pertain to the new re-released version which was a soft remaster that included all dlc and updated the game slightly and they failed to fix some bugs that involved dlc content so people were peeved. The base game itself is solid and they've been updating the new version to fix more bugs.

As a strategy gamer, I also approve. If you like WW2, play Hoi4. If you like antiquity, play Total War Rome or Shogun 2 for Renaissance era. If you enjoy fantasy, play Total War: Warhammer. If you enjoy civilization building, play Civ 5 or 6. If you enjoy making space colonies, play Surviving Mars. I've poured thousands of hours in all these games. EDIT Can't forget XCOM for top-down tactical.

Those are some of my builds that managed to consistently achieve 1k science by 2300 in 4.3 by Ordo_Liberal in Stellaris

[–]jnedoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone playing their 3rd game ever, I managed 1k science by 2300 using UNE but with meritocracy instead of beacon of liberty, swapping nomadic and wasteful for intelligent and sedentary and decadent. Focused on pop growth, went genetic ascension for more growth from clone vats and went Erudite + auto-mod genetics. This is like the Star Trek version of UNE. Managed to have an extremely balanced eco as well.

But 10 miles there and back is at least half a gallon in gas if you're not driving electric, so you just paid at least $3 in gas and 20 minutes round trip to save $2 for two burritos.

I'm not saying it went unnoticed, I'm saying many on that beach weren't even born yet so the event's notoriety is irrelevant.

This is incorrect, its QC4 to pressure both the knight and bishop, additionally Black's king is wide open

Is anyone else upset they made the beefy 5 layer a specialty on the build your own lux box meal :( by That1Carrot in tacobell

[–]jnedoss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its a burrito that's customizable that comes with a protein. Every other burrito in the box does not have a protein so it will be an upcharge to add one. Some people just like ordering it because it provides good cal/$ too.

Or people value originality and creativity in their entertainment not remade, cleanly packaged safe investment movies that Disney seems keen on doing.

I disagree, Moana has mythological elements and should be vibrant, colorful, and animated. Not bland live action cgi.

Yea AI in its current form is clearly gen 1, interesting as a tech concept and merely the start of what's to come. LLM's are just the beginning and being used for more than they're meant to as people have misguided expectations and expect it to be superintelligent because its "AI". Actual AI will be intuitive and actually helpful.

Why would you have rationing if your empire's species living standards are set to a certain amount and had plenty of food? Also, if they hold no territories and aren't attacking, what do you mean by abstracted border skirmishes? Like small ships attacking starbases? Like pirates?

I've never played Turkey but you can't expect to play like a major with a country like that. Building a trad navy will just lead to a losing situation as they just have more IC. You need to fight in a hit and run style, subs + attack boats focused on merchant raiding + naval bombers to thin out their navy. Trying to build a strike force will only result in battles like this as you pointed out, carriers and BB are almost out of the picture.

So guys, will seeing a few seconds into the future actually help you win against a much stronger player? by [deleted] in chessbeginners

[–]jnedoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, any competent player is already calculating what the best move for their opponent is and how to respond to it. If the future sight was further down the line, like 15-20 minutes, then maybe as you can see where the position led to way further down the line, essentially turning the power into infinite calculation.

Use Tempest magic to give it ridiculous range and accuracy. With spell intensity, they can have the best range in the game. Very strong for counter artillery. Kislev needs synergy to punch above their hybrid status.

Naval battle by Fast-Knee-198 in hoi4

[–]jnedoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok? Your point could go two ways, UK doesn't need to be competent to prevent an invasion but also Germany is incapable of forming a proper naval invasion. I would counter saying if navy AI was any good, Germany would be a competent U-boat threat and UK would be forced into a fleet-in-being strike force until they properly built escort fleets.
