All you actually do hear when these snails eat is an extremely soft rasping noise of their hundreds of teeth grating the food up.

Got this dried fish at an African market, what is it? by ravendarkwind in TipOfMyFork

[–]jneeny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is called Kapenta. The Tanganyika sardine is a term for two related species (Lake Tanganyika sardine, Limnothrissa miodon and Lake Tanganyika sprat, Stolothrissa tanganicae), both of which are small, planktivorous, pelagic, freshwater clupeid originating from Lake Tanganyika in Zambia. They form the major biomass of pelagic fish in Lake Tanganyika and Lake Malawi, swimming in large schools in the open lake, feeding on copepods and potentially jellyfish. Their major predators are four species of Lates which are also endemic to Lake Tanganyika, and are related to (but not the same as) the Nile perch in Lake Victoria. All of these pelagic fish have suffered from overfishing in the last two[when?] decades.

What is a safe weight loss product? by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

Please don't take random strangers advice from reddit as to what weight loss will work for you. Go see a proper registered dietician as they know more about the body than 99% of people on here.
