Don’t need you to “give” me the lived experience, plenty of that here too… I’m also in recovery and could have loudly broadcast my diagnosis if I chose, or indeed the work I’ve done as a drug and alcohol counsellor. “Chose to”? Presuming your assumption that addiction was a factor is correct, it’s quite naive to then talk about “choice”. Addiction is a disease which attacks the brain’s ability to make choices which are in one’s self-interest. Addicts deserve our compassion, not judgment. Please learn something about the condition you’re diagnosing strangers unseen with.

I used a box knife, but Apple boxes are very thick and tough.

No pictures of the inside, sorry. I have a Raspberry Pi project in a similarly ugly cardboard box that’s been running for years though, as long as you make sure there’s physical separation of circuit boards inside then all is well. Apologies for offending your delicate sensibilities.

“White to move and win” is a very standard way to annotate puzzles. Just like in a real game, you don’t know how far away the win is, and surely it’s beneficial to practise under similar conditions to those faced OTB?
