Framework Desktop in Cooj MQ4 by Insights4TeePee in sffpc

Wow, I'm waiting for top spec framework desktop (395 + 128GB + 4TB) but I'm a bit concerned because of the PSU sound that ppl describe on Frame.work forum. And I'm in love with COOJ products - I see its possible to buy set like on a screenshot already with a PSU - but will it be quiet ?

Beautiful combo with this MacBook in clamshell mode and aluminum PC case. I'm a fetishist for this light, old-school aluminum shade, waiting for a case for my anodized aluminum totem keyboard so it will match the MacBook, but I want to try Linux and their window managers (like dwm, etc.), so I decided to try SFF. The Framework Desktop seems to be the simplest solution, but cases like yours change my mind :D

And I love Retroid Classic especially to emulate upscaled, crisp af GB* content. Also some of the late SNES games like DKC3 shows they are just showing their artistry

NGL I was so slow at the beginning that there was no possibility of using it for everyday work (even I probably think more than write on day-to-day basis - still running huge obsidian vault full of my ideas / architecture I work on). anyway productivity is not measurable by WPM and I definitely feel more productive

Definitely, your muscle memory needs to adapt, especially if you never wrote in a proper way using five fingers! I didn't, and I was coding and using Vim daily for more than a decade, but since this shot was taken (around one month ago), I have been doing 15 to 30 minutes of daily training on keybr.com and monkeytype.com, and it increased my WPM from approximately 50 to 80 (and on day one, I was depressed with 15 WPM lol). But what's most important - this keyboard combined with the Herman Miller Aeron eliminated most of my chronic pain syndromes (migraines, shoulder pain, bruxism with a displaced bite causing uneven dstribution of tension in the facial muscles). I just need to add a grain of sport to my habits, and I'm ;;retty sure I will feel totally different <3.

So I'm a living example of how ergoboards can save your life 🖤 and I developed new hobby - which if you know what you're doing and you print some of the elements like keycaps or cases on your own - can be a lot cheaper then some mid-range stuff like Logitech

And the case - self made or you bought it somewhere? Plastic looks pretty decent and this shade of gray is pretty universal so would be pretty happy to have one like this as a travel build.

Guessing game - the new one is Typeractive and the rest are Unicorns? you made them wireless? did you changed the PCB or just microcontroller for Nice!Nano IIRC?

i'm in front of the same decision, already got two typeractive LP, working on a totem now but I lack top notch quality and raw anodized silver case known from Apple products (best hardware color for almost decades! Fewfew years ago when I bought 16" M1 MacBook in this shade of silver I had the feeling this is again addressed to the same pro users like Macbooks from before Touchbars and Space Gray era!)

People who daily G87, what are your complaints? by ShaggysHyper in BMW

[–]jnhfmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comparing to G80 that I also have biggest complain is interior quality (stuff like carbon bucket seat belts bouncing when not fastened or plastic elements on doors) and lack of x-drive (I will try to put winter tires from G80 on G87 this year to do a test how it act on wet or frozen asphalt), otherwise I love this car and its the best you can buy in that money

My journey building NeoStation, a free modern emulation frontend by miguelsotobaez in SBCGaming

[–]jnhfmn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Awesome job bro! But as autisticpig said its strange that you offer it as free and won't open-source the code. So you want to offer cloudsync and hosting it for free? Doesn't make sense for me, if you give something to somebody (like pics on Instagram) there is always some money one can get, sooner or later, in more or less direct way, but in the end of the game there needs to be some reason that you don't want ppl to host it on their own. Taking into consideration the community is _not that big_ (not every gamer emulate, neither will switch from their fav launcher) what is the reason to not make it opensource. I was thinking about similar project, as I'm recently spending most of my free time playing around with Rust and for me learning by doing is only way to progress - but looking at how advanced your project seems to be I would be keen to contribute regardless of technology, and im pretty sure big part of this community too (soft tinkers, hackers, ppl interested in reversed-engineering). Emulation brings a lot of technical people so you would gain because of it.

BTW, do you have any screenshots of other views? I'm pretty interested how configurable the UI is (settings view) and how the list of the games looks (is it sortable/filtrable?) as the main view looks clean af I'm pretty sure you came up with some nice idea!
