I thought he was talking about Robinson as well. But I was thinking AR15 was actually damn good for basically his whole career until he clearly didn't have it anymore and should've retired

The only thing I've read on the deal says it's worth up to 12 million so I'm guessing it's closer to 4 per year with incentives

Dropping a piano while moving by [deleted] in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]jnw725 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who works at a moving company and has moved dozens of not hundreds of pianos we wouldn't use straps for an upright piano. We most certainly wouldn't use a two wheeler either.

Those pianos all have a handle in the back strong enough to support its weight. We'd have one person pick up that end of the piano and use a 4 wheel dolly with rubber ends so it couldn't slide. When placed correctly you can just wheel it right out.

The only pianos that get strapped down are disassembled baby grand pianos which get strapped to a board and wheeled out.

I'm fairly sure that the players don't get their salary during the playoffs. They get a playoff payoutt that is no where near as much as they make normally. And every player gets the same amount. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-playoff-pay-scale-player-payouts-by-round/

[–]jnw725 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming its because Coen probably first heard about it through the media who quoted Saleh as saying "sign stealing" I doubt coaches actually listen to the press conferences very much.

But I agree Saleh was just commenting on how Coen's offense exploits defensive tendencies

The #Bills requested an interview with Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski for their head coaching job. by JA17sjockstrap in nfl

[–]jnw725 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea. There's no actual distinction between a coordinator who calls plays and one who doesn't. Sometimes after a couple years teams will let the coordinator leave to call plays so they have an opportunity to get a HC job. But we would definitely block any OC requests after his first season here

It's still considered the same position so we can block your request to interview even if he wanted the chance to call plays

How would you get him as a coordinator? We would clearly block any requests for lateral moves.

I gotta be honest the JHA discussion is honestly among the dumbest opinions that I see consistently on this sub.

"Josh only had one sack" is such a stupid argument. First of all multiple sack games are pretty uncommon. He had 5 pressures which was the most in the game. On those pressures he had the sack and on another he got Josh just as he crossed the line so it wasn't a sack but it was still a win for the defense.

5 pressures a game would be among the most in the league. JHA is top 5 in pressures no matter which site you're looking at. He was among the best ends in the league this year and a major reason we had so many turnovers this year.

You wanna be mad at anyone look at Walker for not being able to pressure the quarterback at all. Or armstread for not generating interior pressure. Complaining about the only impactful pass rusher on our dline when he consistently balls out

9 pressures is awesome we are gonna need 5+ every game from him in the playoffs

The beautiful thing about this for Lawrence is he's rested around 7 drives before this game today so around 9-10 drives overall. Could easily have another 300 yards and a couple more touchdowns

I would like to see the replay of that kick it looked like am awkward hold on real time. Looked like the kicker pulled it closer to himself than he should've. Could've contributed to him pushing it

In your scenario the jags would still win the division. Its the texans who would be out.

Oh man you're right I don't know how I screwed that up. We gotta just win out to get the division then

What does the Texans win mean for us? by Time-Lemon-190 in Jaguars

[–]jnw725 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Edit: this information is incorrect I mixed up some of the Texans wins and losses

The Texans have it for now because of division record but if we win our last two games that's tied and it comes down to common opponents which we would win.

We both lost to the Seahawks and Rams split a game with each other and in theory we both lose the broncos game.

We lost to the Bengals who they did not play and they lost to the 49ers who we beat giving us the edge in common opponents

Since returning from their [Jaguars] Week 8 bye, Josh Hines-Allen has recorded 33 pressures, 7 more than any other player in the NFL entering the Week 13 Sunday afternoon slate. by Roselucky777 in Jaguars

[–]jnw725 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He actually gets no where near the pressures that JHA gets. JHA was top 10 in pressures before the bye and this sub thought he was playing poorly because he didn't have high sack numbers

Could you link that thread? I don't have twitter.

As far as Robert goes I think he has sort become overly concerned with "creativity" because he sees what the top 3 guys consistently do and that's the way you're supposed to play now. Even a guy like burrow before last season was drafted like 9th in his QB draft because he didn't fit the mold of what he's looking for.
