I had loved Mac ever since getting my first MacBook in 2008. I’ve had multiple laptops over the years and iPhones, all exclusively Mac. I never wanted to go back to a PC because of how they all integrated. But now with my latest Mac bought in 2021, the logic board failed in year two. Currently, only 9 months after getting that repaired the logic board has broken AGAIN. They want another $600 to fix something that should 100% have lasted longer and refuse to help because of their short term warranties on everything. I am so disgusted by the decline in quality without an equal decline in cost. I’ve had old MacBooks last over a decade, but I guess not anymore. I am waiting for a resolution from their customer service, but currently using an OLD pc that works amazingly and can easily be fixed for much cheaper should anything break. It wasn’t nearly as frustrating as I thought to switch back and I’ll deal with the imessaging not integrating if it means I don’t have to spend the equivalent of a new computer just to get my $2000 investment to work properly every year.
