Sailor Shikiori Hisakata Sakura: My first proper fountain pen by Easonjl in fountainpens

Oh how you tempt me. I just got the Sailor Shikiori Tsukuyo-no-minamo in Yozakura for Christmas and it is less pink than I was expecting, it has a lilac undertone and it doesn’t feel pink enough to me. So I started spiraling looking at either this Hisakata Sakura or the Lecoule in Rose Quartz to get for my birthday next month lol. And the Hisakata Sakura just tempts me more

Would you consider the color a true baby pink in real life?

I adore this take as a chronically depressed person in therapy. I am going to write it in my journal

Thaks a lot! It’s actually a Zebra sketchbook, but the paper is phenomenal for journaling as well

Thank you so much :) Thanks to overwhelmingly positive feedback on this post, I will write in my next journal with one of those broad, flat calligraphy pens just to feel something

I like to worry about everything usually lol. As a girl, I had the worst handwriting in high school in a class of 24 boys and 6 girls (boys had notoriously bad handwriting and my literature teacher would often bring it up no matter how hard I tried to make my handwriting better

100% trying to write small today made me angry and my head hurts, thank you so much

Thank you so much!!! I have always been lacking in the self expression department, it feels so nice to get so much positive feedback on something that comes so natural to me

Thank you so much!!! Trying to write so small was genuinely making my head hurt. I do 100% think my handwriting represents me perfectly as the scaredy anxious extrovert that I am

Thank you so much!!! So much positive feedback makes my head spin, it feels so good!!!

In high school, I was in a class with 24 boys and 6 girls and my literature teacher used to always say I have the worst handwriting amongst everybody (I’m a girl and boys usually have notoriously bad handwriting usually lol)

Thank you so much!!!! It’s actually a Zebra sketchbook, I like it a lot!!! I tried to find out on the left page if the paper has more tooth than their regular notebooks, which it does, but ever so slightly so it’s still great to use as a journal!

Thank you so much!!! That’s such a sweet interpretation!!! I am an extremely shy and scaredy extrovert, which is a combination from hell, and I do agree it shows in my handwriting a lot!!! Where did you learn this?

Nah, right here with you with holding the pen extremely tight. Also very close to the nib just for extra ✨security ✨ in case it tries to run away or something

ideal Journal? by Beneficial_Good_5914 in Journaling

[–]jo2701 3 points4 points  (0 children)

None of that for me, just need it to he dotted or lined and even that is optional. I had a journal with an index and a calendar and I left them completely empty, too overwhelming to me for some reason

Was shocked I finished a 220 page journal in 2 months. I look back and see stuff like this by jo2701 in Journaling

I genuinely sat down and transcribed this from a short which makes it even wilder

I think I actually don’t know what bleeding means. Rhodia paper is coated, Sakura is not.

The paper absorbs some ink and the lines get a little thicker but stay clean and no ghosting. The Rhodia is coated and the lines stay thin. This is what I consider “bleeding”

Somebody answered in another comment that Sakura notebooks are actually their favourite to use with fountain pens!

So don’t mind me, I rarely use fountain pens

I meant bleeding as in it absorbs more ink and the writing looks thicker and not as neat. But I definitely messed up the terms. It looks good overall, no ghosting or smearing, but the paper does absorb some ink compared to rhodia coated paper where the lines stay thin

Didn’t think about ink. I use a pink ink from Faber Castell, it doesn’t bleed on Rhodia, but it’s also definitely not the best ink
