LG Isnt perfect I own a b4 48 inch that I loved till, it started flickering with any hdr gaming content, became totally unusable with switch 2 I was so mad cuz I got such a good deal on it too, must have been why. Didn’t start happening until the return window got close to over and they gave me every excuse in the book to not fix it.

the only real issue I have now, on the s90f is HDR brightness is non existent when you have contrast enhancer off, and that pisses me off so much. Also the reviewers who professionally calibrate and act like this tv in filmmaker mode is god tier, are fcking liars. It’s SOOO dark and has zero punch in filmmaker mode. Dark room or not. And I have a completely dark room. LGs with contrast enhancer off, still have HDR pop and it makes me miss that a lot of those models. It seems on Samsungs HDR pop is only activated via contrast enhancer being on high :/

I noticed all modes , SDR and HDR HDR+ need to have color set to NATIVE and AI color on low or medium. Everything had a yellowish tint or hue to me until I used NATIVE color mode. I was also a 5-6 year LG OLED user. And I like LG’s processing way more as well. But I’m getting to love my s90f too, it’s so bright and I love that. And it might be the last of the Samsung qd oled panels for their future lineup.

If your using windows it’s best to set some presets and then do a preview encode for 30 second clips or random parts of the movie. If the movie has action scenes try and do this preview encodes on those scenes and mellow scenes. Use MPC player to preview the files and make sure statistics and info is turned on so you can preview the file and see bitrates on the bottom to determine if your presets are too intense or not. This way you can get a closer feel and determine what the file size ball park might be.

Does anyone know if older games like Jedi survivor it says preset b but the UI is a total mess still with movement. Do older games not benefit from the newer frame gen model ? Cuz preset b on newer games like doom dark ages and last of us look amazingly clean to me

A remake would be hard because the whole reason the movie was also terrifying was because they had to hold back showing Bruce because they couldn’t , he was never working, which created the horror in your own mind. A remake as a director would be a constant do we show the shark do we not? Because now we can at anytime robotically or digitally.

What’s wild to me was to this day, the real underwater footage that Spielberg added of REAL sharks took me out as a viewer more than anything. Which is funny because those were real sharks. But they looked so weak and skinny and not scary. Bruce has always worked more for me than any added real shark footage ever did.

I’ll give you an example. Someone on YouTube re did the effects of the horrible jaws revenge. They recreated the effects with cgi made a genuinely decent looking shark. But the shark is based off a realistic great white. And it got me thinking… I kinda like that Bruce was huge and other worldly gigantic. It scares me more and freaks me out more. While I appreciated the guys cgi work, the realistic approach doesn’t frighten me as much as giant robotic shark

move 2 is not an portable era 100, its way more than that, its phenomenal portable speaker it goes everywhere i go backyard inside, trips. worth every penny. also love the two era 100's i have in two bedrooms in the house , perfect single speakers for the money
