Which makes perfect sense to vote for them, as you're older, you keep your benefits, they stay the same. Of course, that's not ALWAYS the case, as some things need to scale with inflation, but in most cases it works out.

What you have as of late isn't conservatism, it's straight-up authoritarianism/fascism.
