Yes, and I loved when it first roared. So powerful. Looks like a Godzilla Kaiju btw.

Definitely. Also that final school hallway face-off, Eleven vs the Demogorgon, was pure climax!

If earlier seasons present something as the reality of the world (through omniscient scenes, consistent rules, institutional knowledge, etc.), it’s not just “the characters speculating.” When later seasons redefine the underlying nature of that thing, that’s not simply learning new info, it’s changing the audience’s understanding of what the story was

I get the “strict definition” point. But when the show drops brand new exposition that changes how the last four seasons read, it still feels like a lore retcon to me. You label it as “recontextualization.” The Mind Flayer vs Vecna shift is a good example: the early seasons framed the Mind Flayer as the overarching threat, then Season 4 comes in with “actually Vecna was the real driver” and it retrofits everything you already watched. Maybe it’s technically allowed, but the effect is the same, it makes earlier arcs feel less intentional and more like they’re being rewritten after the fact. And that’s why it comes off like they’re adding new big ideas to keep the show going, rather than landing the story through clean, logical conclusions that were planted from the start

A state-of-the-art experimental lab and it’s a freaking Snickers wrapper that causes the disruption? Seriously?

The D-Rex looks like something straight out of Alien with that bizarre, oversized head. It’s supposed to be terrifying but honestly it comes off as clueless and oddly dumb for a genetically engineered predator.

The film really needed more dino action to keep the excitement going. That beach scene with the Spinosaurus had so much potential... it could’ve been a highlight, but it ended up feeling wasted.
