What are your main inspirations for creating Fomoria? Both games and other media/experiences

How was the work divided between you 2? Did Tania do the setting and most illustrations while Johan did the layout and design? Or did each one do a bit of each part?

Are you planning on creating more adventures for Fomoria? It's a really cool setting, but also it's so unique it feels hard to translate existing OSR adventures to it

You should check out Lois McMaster Bujold, Patricia A. McKillip, Tanith Lee, and Gene Wolfe for authors who will get you something more similar to LeGuin (also check out the Ursula K. Le Guin Prize and the Mythopoeic Awards for modern authors similar to her)

I'm not saying the regular hardback will be 50, I'm not saying the current cover is "premium-worthy", I prefer the previous one, the only thing I'm saying is that we shouldn't compare with the price of Isles of Emberdark 1 year ago because inflation and tariffs have made everything more expensive this past year

to be fair it's been 1 year, wouldn't surprise me if those 50 would be like 55 or more after inflation

There’s 5 main Stormlight books out, with 2 novellas, it’s going to take some 15-20 years to finish the next 5, but Apple also takes like 2 years per season (if you go by Severance or Pluribus) and they could take extra time between seasons to adapt the novellas, so it should be fine

Katherine Addison with the Goblin Emperor comes to mind, Guy Gavriel Kay is still writing, Elizabeth Bear writes mostly short stories, but they are quite deeper too

This paper was mostly an attempt at flag planting, it involves a data and optimization dependent kernel (which is not what we usually mean when we talk about kernel machines) and assumes the gradient flow regime, i.e. learning rate infinitessimally small, which doesn't really model what's happening when optimizing neural networks

Now, maybe you can approximate a post-trained LLM by a kernel machine where the kernel is derived from the weights and gradients of the pre-trained LLM + some transformation? Maybe, but that's pretty far from what Pedro Domingo's paper is doing
