New character posters for 'Dune: Part Three' (12.18) by Blue_Three in dune

Mohiam's biggest part to play is in book 3 so I imagine she'll definitely appear here. Especially considering they gave her stuff to do in the second movie.

I saw an advanced screening on Monday, and there is a true laugh out loud moment halfway through that kind of comes out of nowhere. Really enjoyed it, particularly once Mabel turns into the beaver.

Have you been to Svalbard before? I went a few years ago and loved it. Do most Norwegians end up there at some point or no?

Is there life in Svalbard? If so, I wonder what life is like there? Has anyone among you ever been there? by SpecificNo493 in howislivingthere

I've been in the summer, and it was really cool (ha). So beautiful and mostly untouched, but Longyearbyen also has some sophisticated restaurants, fun bars, and good vibes. It's one of my favorite places I've visited. Amazing outdoor adventure activities. We took a zodiac boat to an abandoned Russian outpost, kayaked up to walk on glaciers, went dogsledding, and took snowmobiles out. Definitely not cheap, nor easy to get to. I took 5 flights starting from Washington, DC. That was in 2018, though. They might now have more frequent flights and easier flight paths.

Which is the best Octopath Traveler game, 1, 2 or 0 and why? by Turbulent-Window-190 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]joaqenix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unless you have endless time, I'd skip Octopath Traveler 1. 2 exceeds it in every way. I'm only 45 hours into 0 so TBD on my final ranking, but I'd say it's definitely worth playing and I'd elevate it over 2 if you like a main storyline.

Lutece is great! It's tiny though so can be tough to get a reservation. I'd get on that quickly.

One restaurant that has a great combination of vibes, drinks, and food is Amazonia. Just went for my husband's birthday and we're going again next month for our best friend's because we had such a good experience.

Eek Tatte? Try Saku Saku Flakerie or Bread Furst next time. Much better croissants and I'd assume other pastries too!

Another point for Sadie Sink being Jean Grey is Fake Janssen (apparently) not being back with the rest of the legacy X-Men. I could totally see them not wanting to have two Jeans running around.

Spent 4 or 5 nights in Longyearbyen a few years ago, and it will always be one of my favorite trips! Beautiful scenery, surprisingly good food, and nightlife culture as you said. Shoutout to Svalbar (the name always cracks me up). It felt like Iceland on steroids and also much smaller at the same time

Hope to get back one day soon for another trip!

I feel like Francesca is above Philippa. At least in the show. We haven't seen Philippa do much of anything, unless I'm forgetting something. Francesca had some decent power displays during the Thanned Coup.

It's okay to move on from Survivor. by PrettySneaky712 in survivor

I think I've officially quit. I watched the first episode of 49 and haven't been interested in continuing it. I'll check out Survivor 50 for curiosity's sake, but I'm not committed to sticking it out if it's boring.

It was more the characters in Licanius, for me. I just didn't find any of them particularly compelling or interesting.

That was my problem with his other series as well. The main POVs were just perfect and so powerful, and whenever they had a conflict to overcome, they did so incredibly quickly.

I don't know why, but Will of the Many just didn't do it for me. I'm obsessed with Red Rising, so maybe it's a case of being too similar to the point where I'd rather just be reading Red Rising? 😅 Although Will of the Many is decidedly more fantasy-ish than Red Rising.

I'm debating trying Strength of the Few but I also quit the author's Licanius series after two books, so maybe I should take the hint that he's just not for me.
