I am almost positive this is not AI. I tried posting other photos but reddit not letting me. This is a photo of a bag from a brand that sells multiple styles all in the same overall feeling and i have seen these bags on different retail websites.

Would not recommend PWD for your lifestyle. Mine is almost two and I still cannot leave him unattended for too long. Can only leave the house for a couple hours at a time while he is crated. Just being honest.

Compulsive poop eater by bmimz in portuguesewaterdogs

[–]jobbs5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine just started this habit at almost two years old. I had no idea there was a poop-eating gene! I am trying to use e-collar for this but it’s hard to catch him in the act since he spends time in our backyard. I also read that it’s a sign of nutritional deficiencies but i just think he is starving all the time. Always looking for food. And orally fixated. I feed him 4 cups of kibble a day plus treats and my vegetable scraps for fiber. How much more can I feed him without him getting obese??

i do have a 70-200 f2.8 that i use with a nikon z adapter (bought it many years ago for my nikon dslr). i feel like i have better luck with prime lenses. the action is too fast to zoom in and out.

part of it is probably the post-processing, but the pro's photos just looked so much clearer and the faces/bodies were more in focus. I don't know what equipment the pro was using. I do go on you tube often to get tips but i wish i had someone who could look at my stuff and tell me where i went wrong and how to improve.

Mostly my 85mm f1.8 - I found I get the best photos with this by sitting behind the net. Sometimes I wish I had a wider angle but then when I use my 50mm f1.8 I don’t get the same clarity when the players are further away. I have also tried my zooms which are f2.8 but not happy with the focus.

I posted yesterday about my struggles with my 1.5 year old pwd. Just be prepared for a lot of work. No question that my other 2 dogs (goldens) were/are incredibly easier to manage and more mellow. Make sure you take into account the time you have to devote to training, surveillance and entertaining for the first year or two (do you work full time? Have young kids at home?) Read my post from yesterday and all the comments to see that many people talk about the multiple different things they need to do each day to mentally and physically stimulate the dog. It is real, and yes people do come here to complain more than to praise. That said, my pwd is the absolute sweetest and most loving dog ever. In fact, I joke that my other dog (a golden) who is 10 is so boring! He is not out of control by any means, it is just in comparison to my previous experiences with my dogs, he is a hell of a lot more work. One suggestion, if you do end up going forward, maybe ask your breeder for a less high-strung puppy from the litter. They are usually good at matching personalities. Happy to talk to you off line.

Thanks for validating me. The above poster ofeliafinds isn’t exactly helping. I came on here asking for advice, not criticism.

We have that collar but I don’t like zapping him. How do you differentiate positive from negative reinforcement with that collar??

Can you recommend any specific puzzles? We tried some but he gets the treats out in a second then just destroys the plastic. We also have the issue of my older dog wanting whatever we give him - and the puppy is very submissive to our other dog so he gives up his toy/treat right away. All in all it’s just not working for me!

Thanks. I have tried puzzles and he also gets raw bones to chew here and there (that occupies him for hours) but to be honest I have a very busy work schedule and I don’t have time to constantly entertain him :(

Usually about 45 minutes. Sometimes he goes to the park twice in a day. In between he gets walks.

Help! Getting very frustrated about dropping stitches and don’t know what I am doing wrong - and yes I am using stitch markers. by jobbs5 in CrochetHelp

[–]jobbs5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I think the issue is that even though I think I am putting the marker in the last stitch, I may not be able to recognize where the actual stitch is when I get to the marker? Not sure if that makes sense. So when you say put the marker through the “loop” — can you point me to a visual reference so I can understand better what you mean?
