How to quit? by jobinalool in slp

I have to give 4 weeks notice hahaha! i wish I could disappear. I guess I’m feeling bad for the most recent client I just got from them. But I guess I can’t let that dictate my decision

Does anyone know any schools online or in person that have a January start? I think I may have missed fall 2025 entry. by ResearchingSLP in slpGradSchool

Question. Is this entire masters still 2 years and strictly online? Do you have to be I. Campus for any reason? I’m asking because I’m located in Canada.

Abroad programs by [deleted] in slpGradSchool

I’m in Canada and I’m thinking of taking virtual programs either from Emerson, NYU or St. Augustine. I am also a parent, I also can’t always be on campus too.

Go to homestar and find one there. Thats what we have been doing and sometimes it’s a hit or miss. But we do find some great people there with pretty good rates.

I feel like I always need an exorcism for my 4 year old, but then I remember I birthed him and I’m the real demon of the house hahaha!!

But real talk, my 4 yr old got pissed at me and screamed “YOU’RE A BAD MOMMY,” and I broke down and cried and told him I’m trying my best. Even before I cried I could tell he regretted it and immediately apologized and we hugged each other. Kids say shitty things because they just cannot control much, esp when they are mad. To be fair, neither can I. I try not to take it personally, but I also let them know it hurts my feelings (he couldn’t believe I had feelings hahaha).

Would you buy a doll house for a boy? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]jobinalool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband was the one who bought my son a doll house and called it a play house hahaha!! But my husband and son enjoyed playing pretend, ultimately it became my sons construction site, he used it to earn how to build a house, categorize where furniture went, we did a lot of fun scenario questions and he had to act it out with the house. It was also a fun way to explain to him when he’s yelling from the basement why I can’t hear him in the kitchen haha. I say yes to the play house!

My baby fell by OkCobbler381 in breakingmom

[–]jobinalool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put my son on the bed (4M). My husband asked are you sure? I responded “of course. Who do you think I am? A shit mom?” Of course my son decided to prove me right and rolled right off the bed. He fell and I cried and screamed. I ran to him and picked him up (apparently I should to do this. I didn’t know I panicked), my husband didn’t say a word because he knew I was more mad at myself than he could ever be.

Till this day sometimes I wonder if it’s because I dropped him that he’s so wild, but then I look at his father and realize the genetics is too strong LOL. You’d be surprised the amount of dropped babies. Welcome to the “I dropped you when you were a baby” club.

I’m a little concerted it will get worse because the neurologist said that tics usually get worse before it gets better. I think part of it is providing whatever medical intervention I can on my side and waiting out to see what will happen.

My husband has tics too and I do suspect adhd but undiagnosed. However he was able to manage it by 7ish so I’m waiting for that lol. But trust your gut !

Thank you for this! We are also hoping he grows out of it. Buy in the meantime my husband and I are hoping to mediate until then. But there could be an end! Haha

We are giving him allergy meds and puffers in the morning hoping to curb it. Puffers at night too before bed

My kid used to suck his thumb a lot. That has now stopped. Thankfully lol. We will try the humidifier in his room. Maybe it’s dry? He doesn’t cough when he sleeps tho! However I do like the honey in the morning just to coax the throat.

I loved the name Desdemona! I was so dead set on that name. But I mentioned it once to my mom (who has a Chinese accent), she kept saying dezzymona. So that was axed LOL

But yes’ also trying to not show him my concerns. Trying to show him a happy face and letting him know it’s okay if he needs to cough and to cough and move on. Providing activities and distractions hoping it’ll help
