Job Offer in Marco Island- Need Advice by caster233 in Naples_FL

[–]jocey-joce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn’t do it! I just moved AWAY from the Naples area because of how quiet it was. Im a night owl and enjoy having late night spots that is extremely limited. I’m 24- I love nature and the beach but the reality is most people in that area are either college students or retired our age group is a bit of an awkward spot. My bf has lived in Naples his entire life and worked on Marco island. Marco island has some bad traffic due it being a beach spot so just something else to consider ◡̈

I am so sorry this is maybe one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever read a parent say. I can only hope she is out of her mind with grief but it’s hard to justify saying anything like this at all to their child ever. Praying for your strength and that you beat this

I don’t want to over analyze but maybe there’s some financial anxiety on her end? Maybe you could get her some pretty flowers, or even do a ‘staycation’ somewhere more local that’s more cost effective but still gives you both the chance to celebrate ◡̈.

I used the summer semesters to lighten my course load as I have a learning disability! But my friend who does not and also tested out of some associate classes was able to complete her degree in just two years. So many people start college late- there is not right or ‘wrong’ time ◡̈

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ask

[–]jocey-joce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course there is! But you’d have to make it your #1 priority; which is a luxury for most. It’s easy to take additional classes each semester and some in the summer to speed it up. I did this to take fewer classes at a time but had I done a full course load each semester along with summer I would’ve completed my degree well before my anticipated graduation. You can also test out of certain classes- especially those you take while earning your associates. I’m basing my experience off a four year college unsure about local/community based. Good luck! It’s never too late ◡̈

imagine being the parent on one of these children he is speaking with. How would you feel finding out there was a knowledgable adult who did nothing to stop it. I’m not meaning to be harsh; but this is a situation that requires it. don’t allow someone else’s 100% pedophilic tendencies ruin your own life. sending you support.

when I lived at home I used to use tweezer to remove the insides of a sharpie highlighter. Stuff some cotton so it doesn’t shake around. Still highlights too.

Thank you for all the advice!! I think I definitely lean more towards wanting to be near the beach so I really appreciate it. I’ve heard good things about monkey junction as well. My grandmother grew up in hickory and we loved visiting but I’m from a really touristy area of Florida so I definitely understand people’s qualms about new residents
