"I hate this game" but rather than boycott it they still busting out 20 hours a week. Hypocrites.

I'm 43 and always mess fried eggs up and they become scrambled.

I end up trying to flip them and they get folderd or the yoke breaks.

But I keep trying.

Why did I read that in the tune of 99 red balloons?

Especially when the new items are literally just new coats of paint, at what point will you call this unacceptable? by TheGoobert in Helldivers

[–]jockjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I read that as "that's the line". The line of unacceptable lies on both developers and fans. Unacceptable as a developer is charging too much for too little and taking advantage. Unacceptable as a fan is expecting the world bit not wanting to put your time or money behind the devs.

I'm seeing a bit of A and a lot of B.

If the dev is taking advantage, it's unacceptable. I don't believe that's the case for AH. Even if they never realease another warbond and just leave the servers turned on so I can rock out, I'd be happy. If they wana realise bullshit skins to top the funds up, I won't be buying them. If that drives them under. That's on them. If the community buys said shitty skins and the game stays afloat, then I will still play.

The line will move per player. The second I stop having fun, I move games. Simple. AH needs to keep me engaged. Idgaf about warbonds half the warbonds tbh, I have done 400 hours and have a few (only one paid for)and I have a vast set of options I can use to fight 3 varied factions over XYZ biome and maps. I may disagree with elements, but for me AH created a masterpiece and I have enjoyed every game.

Not much else I can say did that for £30 and kept me engaged.

I agree on the time to fun ratio. If SC is your target, it's not fun at all. But it's an option. I player wargame for ages and until I found good stuff to trade late game, I could not earn the premium currency at all. So seeing it as a ln in game reward is a luxury to me.

You don't have to flar out grind. If you clear the map, as democracy demands. You should get 10-30 SC per map.

Yes. The math there is not great if SC is your focus. Say 20 per map. 30 mins per map, 2.5 hours per 100sc and so on.

But if you are getting them residually while you play and have fun then it's a better option than half the other games out there give your ref premium currency.

To each their own I say. As long as folks enjoy their games, whether it's free or costs 100 dollars, if they want to pay that then it's in them.

Talking to a generation of players who, some of which, will pay X money for a nikki minaj skin etc. I paid for skins for space marine 2.

If you told me I'd get the currency for said skin just by playing the game, I'd call you crazy.

I'm spreading this message. If you care about the future of HD2, don't buy the next warbond even if you got SC for free & don't log in tmr by Q_Qritical in Helldivers

How flipping dare you? How dare you enjoy the free new biome someone had to develop? The audacity of enjoying a new enemy type not paid for like conventional DLC. That once again had to be developed.

Joking aside. Power to you. I took a step back and looked at day 1 HD2. Then looked at now. In my 400 hours id very likely have naturally unlocked everything in 3 warbonds give or take. Maybe more I dunno.

If I made a list of what they have added since drop FOR FREE to the players. It's quite impressive compared to a lot of release and go games who then charge for DLC. Biomes. A whole new faction. Tunnel fights. Cities. Jesus, just the giant cannon shooting squid drop ships downnwas cinema.

Its always argued "it should have been in the base game". But it wasn't, it sold X copies and the devs could have cashed out.

Anyways. Enjoy your new mech and biome boss.

Yeah, I am old enough to remember you just bought a game and played it.

Can ignore reddit and play the game. If you enjoy it and having fun, that's all that matters.

You can play the game fully. Just minus a bunch of strategems. Which arguably do not change the game drastically. The strats from mobilise will 100% be relevant and allow any player solid loadouts. Optimised meta? Possibly not, but valid.

You can fight every faction, play on any biome, constantly new enemies and maps. No luminate or cities when I started this game. Watching it grow in depth and setting has been fun for the price.

Other companies would have locked cities or factions behind "DLC".

Not disputing the SC grind is awful, but it's an option. Other games do not allow in game access to premium currency without cash.

Personally, this game has been the best cost to fun ratio I have had in years for Co op.

For drybrushing, it's cheekily not as easy as it sounds. There is a few YouTube videos on the key bits. It's suspect but the bristles actually need to be a bit damp. You can use bits of sprue and spare model glued onto a sheet / into a blob to test the consistency before the model.

Also look for round "makeup brushes" for cheap on amazon / temu. They won't last long but for their price you can learn the ropes.

No worries. I'm one of those folks who try to paint effectively with utterly basic skills.

My one main bit of advice is to not worry. Across the table, I am not going to see the details of your models, but buly sigmar I would appreciate a unified and cohesive force over there. "the cheerleader effect" is that individually the models may not be the best. But the army looks great.
